    Had a question, coming from someone whose family never owned a car, but has started utilising the Ola & Uber, while metro has been a lifeline. Loans add an extra level of stress to people’s lives, and majority of the car buyers come from the middle class, and owning a car is not cheap and then a loan on top of that doesn’t really make one’s life less-stressful - so, why are so many people willing to buy cars, and willing to buy them through loans ? An answer would be helpful. Thank you !

    I just bought Creta 2020, financing at the intrest rate of 7.75%. The trick is, if you go straight to PSU bank (SBI in my case) they give you a rebate of .25% in total intrest rate. Moreover, process fee for PSU banks is also less. Also there is a rebate if you purchase car in name of a lady (maybe your mother, sister or wife)

      7.5 % intrest may vary evry year also... As it is MLCR + 0.5

    It is always better to take a car loan from the PSU banks. Because PSU banks interest rates are reducing interests calculated on the outstanding balance amount of the loan. Their processing fees, foreclosure fees are also less or sometimes are waived off. They do not play any kind of gimmick or trick that looks a very attractive kind of offer to attract customers and later getting to know their calculation is something else. Their loan schemes are simple straight forward and fair, no hidden anything. But for getting a car loan from a PSU bank has to be shown your income proof to establish your repayment capacity.

    I was getting 7.7 from SBI and 8 from hdfc with zero foreclosure charges after 2 years.
    Big bargain from 9.5% initial given by both.

    Recently I bought santro AMT sportz for my daughter. ICICI approved
    Loan of 3.80 lac. 48 month tenure. 8.7 % fixed rate. Precessing fees appx 5100.
    They insisted for group protection and loan insurances of 4000/- premium for each ( 8k single premium total)
    So they processed loan of 3.88 L and disbursed 3.73 L to dealer. Felt something awkward and uneasy.
    Is it okay for bank to insist for insurance with car loan?

    • @mycarhelpline
      @mycarhelpline  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They got cross sell targets - cant insist. You can raise complaint for cancellation of policies (only policies) if taken within 15 days and state complaint about officer for insisting
