Fun 'partial' addition and good first step but did u shop around to see if they sell one with a scoop or grabber arm! Maybe u can design a scooper!

This is actually the only underwater drone metal detector available at all as far as I could find. I think custom attachments will be the key

Seeing as how the detector is really underpowered. I wonder if you could just cut up a good detector, and then print a new mount that fits the drone and run extra power with the tether cable.
I also thought about just printing a scoop that sits 3 inches under the detector head. Basically a cat litter scooper. You could even fit a mini vacuum/blower to move the silt around.

I like that! I'm going to be trying a bunch of ideas in future videos. I'll keep those in the roster of possibilities. thanks for supporting our channel check out our builds channel for all the technical stuff.

I attached a hand held one to the claw to locate A phone that was buried by owner trying to blindly recover it ifound it but had to take off the detector and go back and recover the phone with the claw I'm going to make a quick release system and a bracket that allows the claw to still open and close
I need to get my own channel going then you can see what I find here in UK look forward to seeing your next video jay

Bro you remind me of eggman now that you trimmed your beard😂. Positively magnificent mustache man!
Also I wish the drone was just a little bigger, it'd be way better if you could run the claw at the same time as the detector.

Thanks my friend:) dr robotinic is who started all this🤣🤣🤣 also that would be pretty sweet to be able to use the claw and detector:) I totally agree. We are going to start trying things

25:28 I guess its because saltwater is a conducter and detectors with a single frequency dont like salt water at all, you would need a detector shooting multifrequencies + having some software filters to get rid of the false signals , for example my XP Deus 2 is fully capable of searching in salt water but its fairly pricy and i dont even know if there is a small detector that can deal with saltwater or high mineral sand that could be attached to the Evo :P

Ya that’s what I was thinking as well. I figured either way it would make a good video:) and now it gives me something to experiment with

@Thetinkanator was a great video nonetheless, love your rov content my friend 😁👍
My rov is collecting a little bit of dust at the moment, I got addicted to diving myself, gonna do a test dive tomorrow with my new semi dry winter suit , let's see if it will keep dry and warm enough to dig out some goodies underwater 😛

How about a clear plastic scoop with holes in it or a type of clear fork mounted on top of the arm

I have a resin 3d printer, I might just print something up

Improvement the green/red led should be up at the stick so you can run the plate in the mud. Your range is possible more restricted in water.

Maybe I could put a fiber optic on it

You should try with nokta pulse dive 8inch coil. It is much better underwater detector and cover more, also it is a lot deeper than that chinese pi detector

okay, so if you do locate something, how do you retrieve it? ROV has no claw!

Imagine what you can find with that thing. I mean someone many years ago must have lost something that they were willing to die for and now you have the chance to uncover it.
Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
