    Amazing content once again! No need to apologize-the video was full of excitement, and I can’t wait to see the next one. I had no idea Rovers could handle the challenging Rubicon Trail. They may not be the most reliable vehicles, but you guys made it work impressively!

    Great video, natural presentation, I really enjoyed it!
    The spotter wearing the shorts drove me crazy, too much talk and indecision. Other then that great trip for a bunch of Landys! I drive a 1968 Series IIa, 2004 Range Rover and a 2012 LR4 on 18 inch steel wheels with BF Goodrich 275-75R KO2 and 2.5 inch Proud Rhino lift rods.

    The Rubicon in 32s is insane and Jesse is an absolute legend for taking 5 kids solo! If this was a few weeks ago (3?), some of your convoy was at the lake when we first drove in with a few wranglers/gladiators. Y'all caught up to us at the Springs the last night/we were the group across from you. I had a fan girl moment seeing the rovers rolling in.
    Glad you all had a good time and everyone made it out under their own power!

    What's that? You did the Rubicon trail in your $100k Jeep on 40's on a nice summer weekend and it was a challenge? Yeah, I did it in a 28 year old un-modified Discovery 1 on 31 inch tires with 4 girls in the back under 6 and FREAKING BABY UP FRONT with no wife....in the rain. That guys story tops them all. Just shy of having been to the moon.

      Typical, 40's mentality, All the gear And absolutely no Idea how to drive . No wonder colwns like that tip there jeeps over, you tube is full of them, that require a rescue.I have a rover in the UK, 35's locked diffs, with a low C.O.Gravity, although saying that, I can't fit several kids and a baby in mine. My overnight gear goes in the passenger footwell, I still get rained on in Wales, trying to put a tent up in a strong wind. Top content mate, love it 👍

    I have seen so many times videos from the rubicon trail, but i think is the first LR convoy I have seen. It looks like an adventure of a Life time. Would you consider being our guide? Our group also has some Discos and Defenders and we would be willing to ship our vehicles to the states to try something like that.

    • @AdventurewithRover
      @AdventurewithRover  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve only done the Rubicon ones, so I wouldn’t consider myself qualified to lead a group of Rovers on the rubicon Trail however, if you would like, I can put you in touch with Rover people that have done and lead the trail many times. Alternatively, there is an event that happens yearly for, and by Land Rover owners on the Rubicon Trail. rovicon.org/

    Much more of a challenge with pretty standard vehicles, anyone can spend thousands on all the big wheels, lockers, portal axles etc, much more fun doing it the hard way. Just watch old Camel Trophy footage to see how good Land Rovers are🤷‍♂️

    I saw (I believe) a series 3? Really curious to know how it did on the trails. If you can please share some stories? Thanks

    • @AdventurewithRover
      @AdventurewithRover  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The series rig is running non-Rover, I believe 1 ton axles, and a non-Rover engine, possibly a Ford. Lockers, front and rear. It did amazing on the trail and its small size gave it the ability to squeeze into places and lines the more “modern” Rovers could not. It helps that the driver has done the rubicon trail with that vehicle many times.

      Before the trip, we organized a shared spreadsheet that contained everyone’s vehicle and the spare parts and tools they’re bringing. That made sure we had enough spares, but no one had to carry everything.

    4wd without lockers is 2wd, the two wheels with the least traction.

    • @AdventurewithRover

    • @freeidaho-videos
      @freeidaho-videos ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AdventurewithRover sure... sort of. One man's impressive is another man's stuck behind a bunch of unlocked, no ground clearance, daily drivers trying every rock combination 3-10 times, and turning a 2 hour track into all day.

    Can I ask why you are welding that shit hat to that diff?

    • @AdventurewithRover
      @AdventurewithRover  ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the metal on the front part of the differential is very thin and easily punctured, and or bent and needs extra protection against contact with the rocks.

    I am English and would never have a Landy or Disco etc. I always go Japanese and have an old Toyota Hilux.. I want something reliable and not junk... I dont want to have breakdowns etc all the time... need a group of other people in the group trying to help me sort out my broken down Brit vehicle...
    I am not too long back from Ukraine where i drove from England.. Landys and Discos etc could not cope with the conditions..... I am going back this winter and would rather walk there and back then go with one of those
    I cant see any appeal in having something inferior and unreliable.... i would want the safest etc.
