So, I was playing for almost 2 months without a character in ZZZ that I actually liked and was sick of it. But in WuWa... Changli and her weapon dropped very early on at the perfect time when I was feeling bummed out. 100% agree, as a F2P+ Player myself. I used to spend considerably. It wasnt out of any sense of necessity, more so just convenience due to the fact I work full time and am not able to play more than an hour or two in my free time. Also, I never spent myself into any sort of financial instability as I have enough self control for that. I also would say I do not regret it, considering I always had fun, however I do genuinely appreciate just how F2P friendly WuWa is. So much so in fact that I often will be astonished at just how much of the premium currency I have by simply PLAYING THE GAME. Every other gacha I've played feels like a long drawn out slog. Not so with WuWa. Because of these factors I find myself, similar to yourself, building the habit of not worrying about spending and being content to simply play the game.
Just starting from these videos talking about not spending on Wuwa but for me playing all other gacha games before Wuwa was released and I never spend anything on it and then when Wuwa was released was the time I started spending
First of all, great video. You described how I felt when I first played Genshin (my first gacha). I felt so sad losing 50/50 the first time on the character I most wanted but I never gave in to temptations cause I knew it was another marketing tactic by another business. I played that game for two years f2p and now I'm in Wuwa. Best thing about both games is that you don't need the latest or the best characters to play the game. There's no powercreep. Just be consistent and manage resources. Pick the favourite characters and pull accordingly. If lost the 50/50, no worries. The characters don't go anywhere. They always rerun. This is something everyone should think about before swiping for a video game. Especially gacha. Thank you. Been so long since I heard something relatable in this game community.
Wuwa is the very kind of game i want to see more of It has a focus & vision that is both worth supporting But not predatory And the focus is player enjoyment before it is money which i love
I only ever bought the monthly thing from wuwa, not even because I felt like I need it, but because I wann support kuro games. I dont care if they need the money or not, theyre doing such a good job at listening to the community and even if its just a small amount of money I still want to show them my gratitude
This is a good lesson but also not complaining if you are f2p to get everything you want for free is another thing. Acceptance is important. Me I budget and no longer spend much on Hoyo games and instead spend on wuwa as it is more affordable and generous.
When people ask for tip I never tip, thus this is the kind of game you should tip. I've spent roughly 40 US dollar since launch to support this game which I genuinely enjoy. Infact this is probably the most amount of money I ever spent on micro transactions, most of the time buying a game alone cost more than this.
The last big amount of spending that I did in any gacha game was in Arknights and while I have fairly decent units after, I feel that I don't need to spend money on any gacha game. At least if I do then I do it in small short bursts, these games prey on FOMO and it's up to you to control that desire.
I came from Genshin impact and played everyday since day 1 since it’s release but after waiting for Wuwa it’s so much more satisfying than Genshin I just log in to Genshin for gems and story 😂
Honestly true, its the sig and the sequence that are just soooo good, S1 jishi gives u 100k more damage, S1 xiangli yao gives him more damage, S2 changli and shorekeeper gives a massive stat upgrade
I'm not surprised at all that you arrived at this conclusion, Glare. Considering Kuro Games', the Wuthering Waves' developer company, approach is to also love their players (beside loving the game and themselves), their limited Resonators obtaining scheme, for example, don't feel financially "grubby", as in the company just want our money and it pretty much ends there. Great video; great idea and execution. (❁´◡`❁)b
The sad thing about this is, this should be the baseline when it comes to weighing what one can afford to spend on stuff one doesn't need. Obviously, we all should be able to spend some money on entertainment but it's the core of what it means to be a responsible adult human being to know the limits of your spending.
i would recommend you to try PGR the kuros other game which is extremely f2p and literally gives you premium characters for free. at this point its like only spend money if you love the company not because you have to.
Care is not rushing out a unfinished game because your afraid and everything in WUWA is subpar to ass. It wasn't made out of love but money Kuro has always done this. They piggy back off of hoyoverse all Kuro games are just hoyo game clones because hoyoverse had the guts to do something that could fail.
Wuthering Waves doesn't feel like a gacha game but Punishing Gray Raven doesn't even consider a gacha game at this point, they just care about players instead of NUMBERS BRS x PGR IS GOING TO BE LIT 🔥🔥 SSS+ RANK for BRS
it's not just wuwa. Alot of gacha outside of mihoyo is very free to play friendly. Arknights is very skill dependent and spending more gets rid of the fun of the game. Limbus is a gacha that doesn't know how to gacha and players can just grind MD to get all characters at any times minus WildP. Azure lane players have way too many cubes to pull on all ch with no problems. Princonnect, no one is pulling until pinfest comes. GFL just require players to grind their asses to get eventually get their pulls. Nikke has a 4% base drop and you get a 10 pull every 2 weeks Hoyo is really what happen when a greedy company gotten a hand on a large player base that have crippling sunk cost fallacy because it's their first gacha experience. Starrail where teams gets powercreeped every banner, ZZZ where you need teams in the same faction another element unless you can't bring out the character full potential. Genshin with it's previous shitty weapon banner and the popularization of the shitty artifact system.
FOMO (fear of missing out) is the big one. Lots of things are time-limited, including character banners. Want that character? You only have a few weeks to get it, and who knows when that character will get a rerun. Insufficient resources and time-gated grinding also serve to get people coming to the game every day, and while this does mean that a free-to-play player will be able to get what they want eventually, you can pay for convenience to have what you want sooner. This creates a sense of investment in your account and builds "the sunken cost fallacy" in players. The gacha system itself being built on chance means that you don't know how much more you need to spend to get a character. If there's a pity system, then you'll know that you are always making progress towards that character, but you don't know how much more progress you need. (Assuming worst case scenario is the strategy players have adopted to try and deal with this.) This means that if you want a character and have started using pulls on it, there's a feeling that there's only a little bit further to go, so you might as well just finish it up and get the character. Shop refreshes are another strategy: the first time you buy something you get a bonus, and the shop will periodically refresh these bonuses, so if you haven't bought it yet but might buy in the future, you need to buy it before it refreshes, or you wasted the bonus. There's also a culture of "simping for your favourites" which might not be the fault of the gacha companies, although I wouldn't be surprised if they had a hand in pushing content creators to encourage this behaviour. Do you really love your favourite character if you haven't bought them enough times to fully unlock all their potential? Are you a [insert character here]-main if you don't have the character's signature weapon? Companies can also lock important features behind these duplicates, which feeds back into FOMO. Just some thoughts and observations as a relative newcomer to gacha.
@@MauveButterfly One of the worst case of "simping culture" I've seen is someone saying that they wished a certain redheaded villain man character would just die so they can stop supporting the game and the company. They cannot do so because they're too attached to that character. I wish I was joking.
@@devinroi3886this is a lie multiple games fit this description and aren't doing well if not shut down. Spending money on a gacha game is dumb but if you think the game is doing what you want fine. I dont care if they need the money or not, theyre doing such a good job at listening to the community and even if its just a small amount of money I still want to show them my gratitude
Always weigh the cons first. Dont even think about the pros. There is no pros when spending money on a free game.
I agree with your video. Is it a lesson to anyone 👍😊 I'm also avoiding spending any of the gatcha games it's not helping you long run, only your mind
thank you so much it really means alot
Aha! I thought I'm the only one saving. This is my first gacha where I save banner currency
Proud of you.
thanks
I like Wuthering Waves because of Honkai Impact 3rd, but I don't understand why
im pretty sure its because of the combat as it has the same way of fighting. But honkai is way less f2p friendly for sure
maybe because the combat is similar? i haven’t play hi3 as much but it’s very good at creating enjoyable combat gameplay!
Maybe because of fast combat and how expressive wuwa characters can be like Honkai Impact 3rd characters, which is good thing and I like that
I think it is also a feeling of perfect evasion.
I learnwd you dont have to settle for scraps because theres other gachas like LnDS and WW that genuinely care about their players amd actively show it
Care is not rushing out a unfinished game because your afraid and everything in WUWA is subpar to ass. It wasn't made out of love but money Kuro has always done this. They piggy back off of hoyoverse all Kuro games are just hoyo game clones because hoyoverse had the guts to do something that could fail.
Wuthering waves actually doesn't even feel like a gacha game compared to others, and it feels so refreshing
Wuthering Waves doesn't feel like a gacha game but Punishing Gray Raven doesn't even consider a gacha game at this point, they just care about players instead of NUMBERS
BRS x PGR IS GOING TO BE LIT 🔥🔥
SSS+ RANK for BRS
@@mr.edelweiss pfft at this point pgr is AA game lol
@@PaulMiskimmonoh so they removed the gacha system if not stop lying
@@mr.edelweissthat's a lie if money starts to drop stuff gets cut Kuro is doing this for free PGR and WUWA cost money to run

I buy battlepass sometimes because... well those weapon on there is unique
All are ass just get a five star
I kinda feel the same.
Im glad you feel that too ❤️
it's not just wuwa.
❤❤❤
too bad, those brainrot people think that more revenue, the better the game, its as if that money is theirs to get
Don't spend money for a game if you broke
can explain the practices that gacha games use to get players to spend money on their game?
The more cartoony and cute the character looks the bigger ther revenue
@@MauveButterfly You got it really well for a newcomer 👍🏼
@@MauveButterfly One of the worst case of "simping culture" I've seen is someone saying that they wished a certain redheaded villain man character would just die so they can stop supporting the game and the company.
They cannot do so because they're too attached to that character.
I wish I was joking.
@@devinroi3886this is a lie multiple games fit this description and aren't doing well if not shut down.
Spending money on a gacha game is dumb but if you think the game is doing what you want fine.
WUWA and genshin are free games held up by lite spenders whale don't spend the most. You can tell which side spend more base off the content in the game.
Both WUWA and genshin are carried by casual players buying the battle pass with lite spending like maybe 20 to 50 dollars
Why do you care if people want to buy shit and eat it. Let em do it LUL.
Its never worth spending $$ on those games.
Well with one exeption.... iF you get those $$$ in 1 day.
I see Cringetone mentioned - i press dislike and "never recommend channel again"
