Yes, I understand that those states are important to win the election because of the electoral college but when a party decides to ignore the Midwest which is considered the flyover section of the country no one has to wonder too hard why the middle of the country is red. I’m in a flyover state and Missouri used to be democratic. Hasn’t been since Claire McCaskil lost to Hawley and he is the same ilk of Trump and not only that state reps and local reps are not democratic as well. When you have a good amount of voters searching what a tariff is after the election or digging deeper into the policy of their candidate, you need to look at the voters. Americans chose not to be informed, they chose hate against their neighbors, they chose the promise of lower gas prices and eggs even if racism is rampant or women’s rights were the price. The finger needs to be pointed in one direction and it’s us.

There is a line out the door of billionaires throwing cash at them, they don't need to kneel to a few donors whims. I think its a lot deeper then just money. I don't think they blink a eye when Elon (richest man in the world) starts giving exclusively to the right. Doesn't seem to worry them in the slightest. Controlling fed agencies that can lock Elon up on a whim or sue him into oblivion is far more powerful than a few donations.

Middle class? What middle class? Nations in Europe such as France, Germany, Sweden, Norway the income tax is very high - yet the population, for the most part, is not complaining; the systems are not perfect. Why? Because those countries give back to the population is services. Here in the U.S. taxpayers pay pay and pay and receive substantially less than what is being paid. furthermore, here in the States people enter politics for power and money. Very few politicians give a rat's rear about the people they are supposed to represent. When someone wins an election in any capacity from the Hamlet, City, County, State, Federal, President - they usually leave quite well off, so they have no clue what the average Joe is doing or caring what he is doing financially, medically, etc. For a nation that is smoke and mirrors, it should not declare itself as being Democratic. It is not, its every politician for themselves. I had in the past great respect and regard for the Supreme Court - NO MORE!

Sanders and Biden are old friends and Sanders had a significant seat at the table when Biden's term began. Biden's policy was as progressive as you could expect with Manchin and Sinema making the final call on what got through the senate. It may not have been perfect, but it was still vastly preferable to Trump, who was joking to his billionaire buddy Musk about just getting rid of striking workers. It should have made a bigger difference than it did. This wasn't the working class taking a long hard and detached look at both candidates and picking the option that held the most economic benefit for them.

Thank you for this comment. The Democrats (Gore, et al.) caved in to the Supremely Corrupt Court at the behest of the Bush Bros. criminal syndicate in 2000. Nader -- one of the greatest Americans of my lifetime -- was then pilloried and scapegoated for the massive cowardice and capitulation of the Democrats. Subsequent analyses have long since demonstrated no relationship between Gore's loss and Nader's candidacy, but Democratic shills -- who aren't worthy of feeding from the dung pile in a zoo -- continue to blaspheme Nader. Of course, they circled the wagons around pretty boy Wet Willie, whose side-kick and protegé turned out to be nothing more than a poorly designed hot-air balloon.

@Taino505 Bernie did an internship with George Washington (sarcasm). He shut his mouth for 4 years and campaigned hard for Biden and Harris while they were complicit of mass murder. I understand he did it to keep the little power he had, but now he comes out huffing and puffing.

Basic elementary school grammar teaches that the pronoun ‘you’ can be used for both singular and plural. There is no reason to exclude girls, women and people who identify as female from the conversation.

No he is not. There are over 10 million jobs OPEN. Farmers who need workers to pick their fields HAVE TO advertise the openings for Americans FIRST at the same salary they end up paying Visa immigrants they have to get because AMERICANS refuse to take the jobs, same happens with hotel jobs. Also, there are always job openings in the military. Democrats got the ACA passed and have pushed for higher minimum wages, have fought to feed poor children etc. Biden literally helped the unions and their pensions. Also Consumers made the rich richer they need to wrap there head around that fact. No one voted for trump because of the price of eggs, they voted for him because of their own self hate, and petty jealousy. No politicians controls prices, consumers do. Keep buying at the higher prices the prices will go higher.

Yeah but the Dems didn’t market that. They didn’t market a working class agenda going into 2025. It’s also true that this election was very anti-incumbent. The only country to have their party stay the same post CoVid so far is Mexico, because AMLO was basically Mexico’s Bernie Sanders

Your realize about 50% of those 10 million jobs are fake right? Anti union areas are the biggest winner of build back better and IRA…. Ended the train strike, homelessness and poverty still rampant. Technically I believe Trump dropped childhood poverty more with the covid money, I think the R blocked extending this but Dems aren’t getting that message out. He did nothing significant to protect our democracy, continued to spend billions supporting a genocide of a man who was trying to make him lose.

Finally someone else willing to speak the truth. The poor are always poor no matter the president. But this time the poor and uneducated did what they often do, vote for perceived self interests instead of actual self interests. But we have to stop ignoring their perceptions no matter how silly we think they are.
