OMG! the soldiers were practically everywhere! I kept thinking to myself "Come on Diego! You can out wit them, don't get captured!" I actually let out a cheer when he got away!!! I think this was as close as the soldiers got to ever really nearly capturing Zorro.
I love how Bernardo walks up to Sgt. Garcia in the bar and the first words out of Garcia's mouth are, "Ah! My noisy little friend!" :) Bernardo never says a word all series, but he still manages to speak volumes without ever opening his mouth - and you know what? I get a huge charge out of it! Heaven bless the people who made this "Zorro" what it is!
I remember an older episode when Garcia was dishonorably discharged as a ploy to capture Zorro. He claimed that the only thing he knew was soldiering and that he would be forced to be a beggar. Given his skill with the guitar and singing voice, I think he should quit being a soldier and be an entertainer.
Hah. Swing on the tavern chandelier to the door; door's blocked; swing on the chandelier going back the OTHER way! Oh, it must be fun to be Zorro some days!
Simple stories, with dialogue, acting and plotlines of that era....but wonderfully pleasent, and innocent. You could use such stories for English literature classes.
5:06 Zorro and Peralto fencing, Magistrado, Toledano, and Garcia fighting to get back through the gate, soldiers coming, damn! Too much testosterone around here! :P
This is was really long escape. Almost cornered him a couple of times -- and all because Diego was trying to save a marriage. Talk about no good deed going unpunished!
There is a good explanation of why they miss a lot shooting Zorro tho - In the 1820s (when this was supposed to take place) rifles and the such were pretty new and consequently, not very accurate. They also could not go very long distances, this is why bows and arrows and swords were not extinct yet.
Zorro's a freakin' badass of a genius! Shutting out Magistrado, Commandante Toledano, & Sergeant Garcia, out of their quartel headquarters, and then has a duel with Peralta, sick :)p
@mynameistomilk Not to burst your bubble, but anything that was dangerous was done by Guy's stunt double, Buddy Van Horn (who did a wonderful job copying Guy's gestures, btw). Doesn't pay to injure your star. But about 98% of the fencing and most of the riding was Guy. And who could do it better? Also, the stunt / fighting sequences were usually filmed on Fridays. Very smart idea : all week to rehearse and the weekend to heal.
I love Garcia's voice! I also like the songs that were written for this show.
That's that confidence, Zorro smiling while he's fitting, he is determined and skilled to always win a fencing match. This Guy is invincible :D

Holybhell, a commandant in a Zorro franchise that's actually likable!
Long live Britt Lomond *Captain Monastario*.
Dang Garcia is a good singer

'No one should be without someone to kiss' - sweet ☺🍬🍭.

I love Garcia's voice 😍, I keep replaying the song.

The last part of the escape (in the cartel) is cut out of an earlier episode. Handy use of stunt men ;-)
*GASP* ...Oh my gosh, I just watched it again! I not only saw him, I heard him yelling his head off! OMG! LOL
haha zorro did a leap of faith :)
Haha, the new commandante respects Zorro. Well, at least at this point.
And he seems to be more patient with Garcia

I would have loved to hear Henry Calvin sing the Troll song, he'd have the perfect voice for it. XDDD

Also finally a military figure above lieutenant who gave Zorro a respected compliment. @zorro #zorro
Henry Calvin has a really wonderfull voice.
I found out that he was also a proffesional singer. Go and search for recordings
At least this comadante doesn't keep calling Garcia 'baboso' XD
I must say, Garcia can sing!
And the new commendante is ok(H)
7:33 Congratulations Zorro you just made a fan of the commandante.
I think the new commandante actually likes/admires Zorro
He does 😍
3:10 Diego you should write stand up LMAO
Very good sargent Garcia. the best Zorro - da Diana.

Yep, I heard him alright! :P
I like the new Commandante, I hope he says.
Beautiful Garcia
Know what I think is the scariest part of this episode? When Garcia and that idiot kid are both heading out to the inn to serenade Raquel Toledano!
is the song awake my love a real song ?
Yeah, I like him to. I hope he survives!
How does he keep getting shot at and folks keep missing? Lucky as hell...
3:03 Way to troll that bitch. LOL!!! Go Garcia! :D
poor love sick men they are so easy to manipulate. : (
@marijevd The new commendante is a real Gentleman. :)
2nd only to Zorro/de la Vega. :D
@NotChainLink Yup, same thing you see in Westerns with "shooting from the hip".
@hogdogmaster7 I'm starting to like him too
@godsofpersia12 When I saw this scene I immediately though of Altair, then I saw your comment and lol'd.
Actually it would be funny and really gross if some woman left her husband for Sergeant Garcia! At least her husband understood Zorro's prank.
BOL zorro trying not 2 laugh :)
really? i didn't know that?! GO Garcia!!!!
Really? I can't see him
You know, for soldiers of the king, these guys' aim sucks
