Little house on the Prairie is a great favorite, even though I know its not any real humans on the face of earth like Charles or Caroline as Parents like this anywhere in reality ever in this world period. Thanks Doug for sharing your ideas

Don´t give up your guns America...I read what your Founding Fathers wrote back in the days, wise words. Here in Finland (and in the EU) it´s difficult to have guns, you need to be a hunter or/and be a member of a shooting club. They can take your gun permit away just for speeding or other minor illegal activity...basically if you get the attention of the police your guns are no longer yours.
If you enjoy reading, I highly recommend the Spanish Bit Saga by Don Goldsmith. It goes farther back than traditional “cowboy” books. But the details about how the native Americans lived and how they were influenced by the Spanish makes it a treasure trove of information.

The Little House on the Prairie TV series was not very historically accurate; Michael Landon made it very PC. Read the books, they are the real deal! All are good, but The Little House in the Big Woods and The Long Winter in particular are like prepper handbooks!
we have rotties for protection. my wife use to train them for competition. you must be in northern Missouri we are in southern Missouri on the Arkansas line.

When I get a cabin built bin Alaska I will get dogs because if I get my health problems improved enough I want to try the Iditarod it looks like fun
