I have been selling body butter for 2 years and haven’t had a problem. Formula is very important. Using butters with higher melting points are important. Also don’t use coconut oil, it’s not that good for your skin anyways but it’s a no when it comes to shipping.
So I bought a body butter from someone on tik tok. They used this thermal packaging and it did nothing. My body butter arrived completely melted. I was also charged an extra $2 for this “special” packaging. Of course when it cooled it is now a solid oil, but not light and fluffy like a body butter is supposed to be. This is so frustrating for the customer. 😫
Just wanted to say thanks for this!! Just started a new skincare line using our estate EVOO and we make butters and want to ship them. Freezing and insulated packages ❤❤❤ thank you!
Hey, you are an amazing youtuber and also my favorite youtuber just to add to that, and I'm starting a business soon just got done buying supplies, but I just want to ask for a small tip or word of advise 😅 thank you so much.
I know you were asking Kymani specifically, but if I can give a word of advise. It's ok to not have everything perfected, planned and thought out. There will be things that you realize that you want to change or need to change. Be okay with that and go with the flow. Be ok with learning and growing and your business evolving. It's ok to make mistakes and learn from them.
Dont change the formula. Lol your formula is perfect. I say keep freezing them and if anything throw in a ice pack I guess. Please leave the formula how it is lol
thanks for all the info just fyi be very careful with colored contacts if it's not a prescription because you can potentially become blind I read this somewhere so just be careful girly
I saw something about shipping friendly dry ice packs to help when shipping body butters, and have been going through Amazon to find a good version of them
I see using hard butters, but adding coconut oil (even though its a solid) does not mean it is going to help your recipe-also too much of coconut oil is drying to the skin-I would suggest adding kaolin clay or more arrowroot powder you need a binder-as for beeswax it can be costly, and unless you are melting it down all at once that chit is hard to chop or grate also it does not have a strong odor so idk who told you that, great quality beeswax will smell like honey soft aroma-you could use emulsifying wax as well look on WSP
I just don’t ship my body butters during the hot months. It’s just not worth it. I want my customers to be happy with their order. There nothing more disappointing then getting a melted product in the mail.
After you freeze the body butter, when they thaw out and return to room temp, does it affect the consistency of the product. I thought about it, but I’m concerned about them losing the whipped consistency and becoming liquidy, or too hard. Any suggestions?
Make sure post notifications are on Shanti babes we have some BANGERS dropping this week 🖤
I use a small ice pack in the insulated mailer and charge the customer $.50 for the ice pack and build the other $.50 into the cost.
Shipping times & Cocoa butter really helps, I've yet to have a complaint about melting.

What is a good replacement for coconut oil? Tia
@@mariespeaks9632 Exactly because my coconut oil in my body butter is the key ingredient
Never heard coconut oil isn’t good for skin.
@@heychellie3 overtime it is, It also clog pores.
@@cammac2753 Olive oil
I ship mine in styrofoam containers with either ice blankets or ice packs. I sell custom wholesale butters and soaps. I haven’t had a problem yet.

Love your content!!! Thanks for this info 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I’ve heard 1 tsp of Kaolin clay in your formula helps a lot
Kaolin clay makes my body butters bumpy.
Arrowroot powder

Helped. I will use a bit more beeswax in my recipes.

No it won’t love
Yes it will wil because whipped body butter has air pockets when it melts the air pockets collapse
Mine doesnt
@@soniabrown7151 have you tried it or are you stating what you call commonsense.
1-2% of stearic acid in your formulation will help as well
Does freezing it change the texture of the product?
Not unless it's melted and then frozen. Pre liquid state it's fine:)
Whatssssss up how would you pack body mst and body washes
My beeswax doesn’t have a scent.
Ready
WSP sells a 104-114 degree but even then still might melt!! Lol
try stearic acid powder
Have you tried it ? I heard about it but not sure
Try adding candelilla wax
Halfway through video it goes to putting on eye contacts. Very weird.
I thought the same thing … definitely throw me off and make me side eye
What size labels do you use for your 4oz jars?
It depends on whether you want a wrap around label or 2 labels, one for front and back.
@@kymirabelle5319 wrap around
@@vettavee983 I use 2 labels. It saves money because you get more a sheet. My labels are 2.5 x 2.5
