Chiquita always does her homework and makes an effort to understand the lyrics, which is why the audience feels the song deeply when she sings and dances, conveying her emotions through expressive facial expressions.
These live covers are actual live footage of their monthly evaluations. The girls get 30 days to select a song, learn it, remix or add verses or change it up and then present their performance for evaluation by a team of YG coaches. They get cut from the trainee program if they don't demonstrate improvements every 30 days. For Rami, Rora, Ruka, Asa it has been 5 years, Ahyeon, 4 years, Pharita, 2 years and Chiquita only a year plus at this stage.
Rora is a bit underrated in Baby Monster stacked with talent but Rora is also a top tier vocalist. Amazing talent.

When it comes time for the individual BM members to start releasing solo songs, YG is going to be very busy. I've noticed that in the large 9-member and 7-member groups under other labels, it's usually only a few of the members who get any support from the label for solo releases. For Babymonster, each member is more than qualified. Rora is of course an awesome singer. I'm curious about what types of songs she would do for a solo album.

I feel that Rora is one of the most talented, since she was little she has done many things related to art and she is also very intelligent, I think that although she has already shown us that she has a lot of talent, she still has much more to show. Rora has the best runs and vibratos
I’m pretty sure Rora is the best vocalist in Baby Monster regarding technique. But their vocal line Rami, Rora, Ahyeon, Pharita, Chiquita are all so talented and strong in vocals
Chiquita Maknae, but it is very visible that she is a candidate for the main dancer of this group, you can see it in every dance video, MV, etc....she is always the one who executes the difficult parts in choreo, even YG's dance coach said she has the potential to have a performer like LISA

Asa was always promoted as a rapper, dancer, and songwriter and shes insane at them, but during the Last Evaluation she whipped out some amazing vocals out of nowhere, suprising all the trainers, older YG artists, viewers, and even YG himself. As a result, she does have some vocal parts in their songs (Stuck in the Middle, Like That, Forever, Christmas Without You), and is considered the groups Ace (as of now, more girls will probably start writing and developing their rap or vocal skills further) with the nickname Acesa.
Pharita is also the group’s primary English speaker as she went to an international school and is the strongest with it (Ahyeon is pretty good as well, and the other girls are becoming stronger also).
Yes. Pharita is the one the others would go to for help with English pronunciation. In the videos/performances when they were still trainees, I noticed that several of the members had some struggles with English pronunciation. I was hoping that they would improve by the time they debuted. And...they did indeed improve. I don't really notice any significant pronunciation problems anymore. Ruka has a bit of an accent sometimes, but it's cute and easy to understand. Rami often sounds like a native speaker when speaking English in interviews. I can tell she's been working hard the past couple of years on polishing her pronunciation.
The 5 dancers are Asa, Ruka, Rami, Ahyeon and Rora. At this stage these 5 were the most likely trainees to be Baby Monster a 5 member group ready to debut. Likely footage from after 3 years of training. But they did not debut. Lisa of Blackpink had blown up the Thailand kpop market for YG. So they went on the hunt for Pharita who joined later and then Chiquita. The final evaluations series was actually to determine the final 5 to debut. But all the girls were so incredibly talented and the fans wanted all 7 to debut that left YG the decision no choice but to debut all 7 girls.
No its actually team A and team B at the time, pharitas was in team B and chiquita havent join yet
@@user-dk7vu1ct4h Team A and Team B is the final evaluations series which is a year later than when the 5 girls did this hip hop dance routine. Pharita likely still auditioning to join YG.
The reason why there were only 5 members in that dance video is because this was before Pharita and Chiquita joined YG. Ruka, Asa, Rora, and Haram joined YGE summer of 2018..Ahyeon made it into YGE not too long after, but officially started training in December 2018. Pharita and Chiquita came during and after the pandemic.
These videos are just a little sneak peak of each girls and are their monthly evaluation performances. In which, every month they have to work on their skills and perform in front of YGE executive producers, music producers, trainers, and even YGE senior artists observe and give them feedback. In can be very cut throat sometimes because if they don’t see any improvement they can let you go..as a trainee. So the girls really have to give these evaluations their all and show that they are improving.
They are all 2 years older from the ages in this video. Still pretty crazy Chiquita at only 15 has performed for thousands of people in I think 5 countries now.

That's a popular opinion. But it's misleading to say that she is "confirmed". There is no official announcement or confirmation of any such positions. She is indeed very talented as a rapper and dancer and is very pretty. She's also a good singer...and she's already received official credit for writing on Batter Up. Her nickname in the group is "Ace-sa".

I wonder why many people underestimate the Maknae's position and decide their position in the group is only as Lead..... ??? Even though if you think about it, the Maknae was chosen at such a young age? This means he has extraordinary talent that is considered equal or superior to the older members.😂
The whole "Main/Lead/Sub" ranking system is 90% fan-made nonsense. Some of it overlaps a bit with reality. But a lot of it is just opinion and bias. Of course there are members who are generally recognized for being exceptionally good in a particular category. Members of BM have on several occasions called Rami the "vocal queen" (not "Main Vocalist"), probably in recognition of both her excellent performances as well as her leadership role behind the scenes for vocal matters. But the labels (especially like YG) do not create lists of official main>>lead>>sub rankings of the type that many fans obsess about. It wouldn't even make sense. The label wants each member to continue improving and reach the highest level of excellence. A permanent official list of position rankings would be a disincentive, since the so-called "lead" position permanently brands someone as lower ranking no matter what they do. Also, it's silly to think that the label and producers would ever even need a list like that. They know what the members' individual abilities are on a constantly updated basis better than anyone. I wish Kpop fans would just stop trying to attach those fake position rankings to everyone. Even in this comment section, someone is posting a completely fake list and pretending like it's a real list of position rankings.
The reason why dance performance was only 5 of them bcs at the time they never had a chance to dance together, and chiquita haven't join yet (they have a chance dance together as 7 only in last evaluation), they have like around 10 girls and divided them into team A and team B for the dance evaluation, and i think pharita was in team B, so they just upload that footage instead bcs 5 of 7 member are on that footage

They are all kinda great at everything but, since you were wondering, until now, they FOCUSED more on:
Ruka and Asa: Rapping
Rami, Pharita, Rora and Chiquita: Singing
Ahyeon: Singing and Rapping
All of them: Dancing
Asa started to get more focus on her singing recently (which is great, cause I love her tone)
This might change over time cause they are all truly great, but for now Ahyeon and Asa have been playing the AllRounder and Ace "roles" the most, since they had the most diverse parts till now.
Yeah, currently the "rap line" is mainly Ruka and Asa, with Ahyeon also being in the rap line for the last two songs. The vocal/singing line is mainly Rami, Ahyeon, Pharita and Chiquita, with Asa also having a significant singing part in Forever. That's probably the way it will mostly be in the future. But I expect that Chiquita may at some point start participating in the rap line too. Roles are flexible and depend on future interest and skill development of the members. Of course as trainees, Ruka and Asa were indeed focused mainly on rapping. I think Rami is going to want to do some rapping too in the future, but will always focus more on her singing.

@didapharamita4578 Not all of this positions are real, but there's a post on Naver by News1 (approved by YG) where are listed some positions (Rami Main vocalist, Rora lead vocalist and visual, Ruka Main dancer and Asa as a Main rapper). And Asa also comfirmed on interview that she's a Main rapper.
@@meganyamk172 I doubt that it was "approved by YG". YG doesn't make lists of official Main/Lead/Sub" positions. When YG uses the word "main" it's as a small "m" adjective to simply describe the type of role that a person mainly does in a group. It doesn't imply official and permanent rankings the way that many Kpop fans erroneously think. I've never heard YG use the word "lead" to describe a second-ranked official position. (In English "lead" always means number 1 and is mostly used as a synonym of "main" when talking about roles in a group.) Contrary to what most fans think, YG also did not assign official main/lead/sub positions in Blackpink. People can still see the 2016 Blackpink Debut Showcase where YG announced the specialties or roles of each member. Jisoo: vocals; Jennie: vocals/rap; Rose: vocals; Lisa: rap/dance. That's exactly what YG said...and is the only thing YG ever announced about positions. No official rankings. No limitations on other roles. Just an indication of the types of roles that each member would mostly do in the group.
@TEAM__POSEID0N Yeah, you're right about Blackpink. Members themselves only have mentioned that Rosé is "like a main vocalist" and other positions are the ones that you listed. With BM, it's questionable, but the post on Naver was written by trusted journalist, and if I'm not wrong, he warked with YG on making this post because there's some new info. Even most of the 3th gen group positions are taken from Naver posts or SBS. But I think we can at least trust Asa saying she's a main rapper and girls saying that Ruka leads them in dace (clearly main dancer here). But as you said, those positions don't really mean anything. I'll give BTS as an example. They're mostly self-produced group when it comes to music, so they clearly have the say in song line distribution, and all their positions don't really make sense. It's like if someone has a center position in a group, people really expect that person to be in center ALL the time.
@@meganyamk172 Yeah. But even if someone is a "trusted journalist"... it's not always the case that they carefully confirm things like that with YG. Often they're actually just reporting on some kind of unofficial consensus based on things they see people saying on social media. I'd like to read that post. If the journalist didn't specifically say that they got information directly from and approved by YG, we can't really say for certain that it was "approved by" YG. Similar things happened with Blackpink. K-profiles wrote and published "profiles" of the members in which they used all of those Main/Lead/Sub position rankings. Eventually, they had to put in a footnote that acknowledged that they never got any confirmation from YG and didn't get the list of positions from YG. Instead, they said that they got it from Melon profiles. Before that, many fans assumed that Kprofiles had confirmed it from YG. After that footnote, fans started saying that Melon must have got their info. from YG...even though Melon never made that claim. Also Melon's profiles were and are often a mess. In a separate part of that same section for Blackpink, Melon listed Jisoo's specialty as "dance", but did not mention any dance specialty for Lisa or Rose. They also indicated that Yang Hyun Suk was active as a Kpop idol "balladeer". There are no official lists, so sites like that just make stuff up based on what they see many people saying. They can then just say they are describing the perceived roles and position rankings, rather than confirming anything with the group or label. It becomes circular. The fans on social media claim that their lists are "official" because they saw something similar on a third-party site like Melon or K-profiles. But Melon or K-profiles just make up their descriptions based on what they see fans saying on social media. .... I'm sure that companies like YG and groups like Babymonster are aware of what fans are saying about positions. And sometimes they insert jokes about someone being a "visual" (like in Blackpink House, there was a scene where Jisoo just woke up and they edited in comical dark circles under her eyes and then inserted text as a joke about how "the visual" should not be like this. But it was obviously just a joke and there is no official "main visual" position or ranking.)

It has got nothing to do with that, the likely reason for the name change is because of another K pop artist named Haram, who is in agroup called Billie. And fyi, the real name of Rami is Shin Haram.
@@Marceous It's possible that there was some concern about Arabic meaning too, since there are many fans in Arabic-speaking countries. But, yeah, YG never announced or explained anything that way. Also, "Rami" is just a natural nickname that comes from the name Haram in Korean. And Haram was probably already often called "Rami" by family members and friends. So it's not really like they created a new stage name for her. (It's quite common for some Korean names that end in a consonant to take the last syllable of the name and add an "i" sound (이) to it to make a short and cute nickname. Another example is "Seung-hoon" of Winner. His nickname is "Hoony".) I notice in the group they're doing something similar with Pharita. Even though her official stage name is "Pharita"...many of the members just call her "Rita".

It is more of a style of singing rather than pronunciation for these YG artists. Yes, some still struggles with accent since its not their first language. For example, Chiquita, Rora, Rami & Ahyeon sounds very clear when they are speaking compare to singing(depends on the song vibes). As i said, its the YG distinctive vocal style.

I don’t think u should react to last evaluation cause u already knew enough about baby monster and watch all of the music videos.. cause in my opinion last evaluation are for the people who knew 0 about babymonster. Cause u will not get the “hype/excitement” if u already knew them, especially u already knew that the seven of them are make it to debut. You did the guide video but you should have watched the YG version of each member as they are WAY better. The card for each individual introduction is at the end of each live cover video.
Performer name = Chiquita, nickname = Canny, birth name = Raricha Pondechappipot (pronounced Pon -day-chop-pee-pot)
In the last video they pronounced Asa wrong. It is Ah-sa. Canny nicknamed her Ace-sa because she is an ace. I absolutely lost my mind when I saw Asa's rap. I put it on loop and sat there watching it over and over for 6 hours straight. Asa is the definition of Black-Pink. Where the actual Blackpink girls shift back and forth between being black (badass side) and pink (sweet feminine side) - Asa is actually both at the same time =badass and feminine. She is the most feminine woman on the planet and insanely badass performer in every way.
All of them were successful entertainers/models/dancers/singers/actresses (like Disney kids) before joining YG. Rora was the most successful:
1. 5 K-dramas at the age of 10
2. Regular at 8-9 years old on Man vs Child cooking TV show - actually has chef level cooking and baking skills
3. Musician - plays piano, flute, gayageum, and violin and was actually a top concert pianist
4. Science Genius - top qualifier in Korea's National Science Competition and has a full ride scholarship to one of the prestigous schools in Korea (Rami too).
5. Performer/idol - was in child idol group USSO girls with one of the New Jeans girls and was the ONLY one of the 7 who YG personally recruited/invited/contacted to join the program
6. Modeling - was a successful child model (all of them were). Rora gets all of the Jisoo like slow motion close ups in their MVs because the directors obviously see her as the most beautiful.
7. Vocals - Rora is a Siren. Her voice effects men differently and has a calming effect whether singing soft notes or power notes it makes men feel calm. Most singing instructors put Rora at the top of the group as far as her vocal skills.
8. Rap - In the Introducing Rora video the first thing said about her by a YG staff member is that she is an all-rounder, meaning she can rap (all of them can rap). She also refers to herself many times that she is an all-rounder.
9. Athlete - watch the behind the scenes making of the MV for "Forever"
10. Leader - the most reponsible and unofficial leader of the group and spokesperson because of her experience working with and speaking to adults in front of a camera and her intelligence.
11. Her real name is awesome = Lee Dain. for all these reasons Rora is my #2 behind Ruka.
