Do you think Bunny would teach another dog? I’m eager to see how mothers would teach their puppies, or if a dog would teach another dog this form of communication!
I love Bunny. I’ve been teaching my pug how to use buttons He wanted go outside (walk), and daddy was telling him to wait. So he got impatient. “Outside, outside.” Nothing. “Outside, mama, Percy (his name), Percy.” Nothing. “Outside, mama, Percy, Percy.” So my husband was like. OK! But then Percy wouldn’t go out without me. So I happily went for a walk. I loved knowing that he really wanted me there too.
I was impressed by a video of Bunny communicating (or attempting to) that she had a burr between her toes. "Mad, paw, stranger, paw". That proved to me she was indeed trying to communicate. She was irritated because something foreign was caught in her paw & she was as specific as could be, given the limited amounts of words she had to use.

I thought it was pretty awesome when Bunny expressed about being hurt on her paw and her owner found what she was talking about. That was pretty neat I thought... obviously it's not in this video but Ive followed Bunny for nearly a year. It's been incredible to see her to continue to add new tiles and new words.

I’m really glad the Comparative Cognition Lab at UCSD is studying Bunny and other dogs (and cats) who use this technology. Just like in apes, we need to know more about their ability to think, feel, and communicate.
I read that last sentence as meaning, get rid of the stranger its time for us to play. My mother had a Yorkie who would bark at visitors at his bedtime as he always got a treat going to bed, after they left. 10pm each evening was time for guests to go.

I wouldn't say that. From the earlier clips, she certainly enjoyed her time with the tv crew, at least for a while. Maybe that was her way of saying she was done.
@@MissFleece-j1k that's an interesting point. It could also be that she heard a stranger go by the house and was just informing but it's more likely the strangers were making too much noise in whatever way and she wanted them to go now.
I love how Bunny enjoys talking and tells mommy her need's. Animals would love to talk with their human parents and let them know what their thinking about. Animals especially dog's are very sensitive to and love their human family's.
I began using talking buttons with my German Shepherd. After years of hard work, he was able to tell me of the "ubiquitous melancholy Thunder feels when leaving park early, dad".
