You would expect salespeople to know every detail of the products they’re selling since they’re around them all day, but NOPE. It’s like they don’t even look at them when not with a customer.

Just got back from a test drive of a Ridgeline and fell in love with the vehicle until the salesman revealed a few things about the engine that has me having second thoughts. He mentioned that the motor uses a timing belt vs chain so will have to replace in the future. The motor has VCM variable cylinder management which is cylinder deactivation. Some of my mechanic friends have told me to avoid these motors with that feature. To top it off it has start stop feature which I can tolerate since it can be shut off. Have some serious decision making to do since I like everything else about the truck

They really need to pay someone like VW to re-design their infotainment system. The number of times you had to double-press things or hunt around to know where to press to do simple things is indicative of the complete lack of intuituveness and laggy performance. There's 0 need for all the icon animations flying all over the place when you just want to click a freaking touch screen button when you're driving down the road. It needs a software update immediately. Physical buttons will always be superior than touch buttons with no tactile response. This is all from a guy who wants to love this truck and buy a Black Edition. Also, piano black interior trim in those Black Edition models is a terrible choice. What's with all the shooting of themselves in the foot?

I don't know why Honda sales is calling this a "redesign". All honda did was change the front end styling, dual tailpipes out of a single exhaust and add a volume knob. Other than that, everything on the inside is exactly the same functionally as the 2020 (or even the 2017 for that matter. Same gauge cluster, same shitty head unit. If they really wanted to call this even a mid cycle refresh, they would have brought the gauge/infotaintment systems from the Pilot/Passport/Odyssey. My daughters 2015 Fit has the same head unit software as this 45K truck.

Exterior design and usability is great. Interior is a huge let down unfortunately.

Honda Ridgeline is NOT a truck. It's Honda Pilot with a truck bed!!! it drive and ride like Honda Pilot.

This truck has have a smooth ride compared to other trucks in its class. That's due to the independent suspension and unibody.

so much plastic on the interior and driver seat don't look comfortable. Acura needs to make a pickup

You do realize this is the same exact interior as Honda Pilot and Passport front
New 2023 Pilot has been redesigned expect Ridgeline to be also 2024 with new interior.
Ridgeline already expensive pickup Truck Acura variant wouldn't sell.
Ridgeline already gets IVTM4 AWD mechanically simular to ACURA Super Handling AWD System but tuned differently up until 2019.

How come Honda interiors are sooooo plain and full of bland plastics. No textures or high touch/feel like Mazda’s.

I can understand and appreciate that. The Ridgeline has the most smooth ride in the midsize truck segment. I appreciate your support and thank you for watching. 👍

Outdated style. Infotainment need upgrades. Not a fan of honda design.
