With all that stuff in the floors and walls for the running of the ship I'm only now beginning to see the true size of this ship, I can't even call it a boat any more. It's all just amazing to me.
May I get personal. How much does this project costing. Also what is projected to operate this ship? Crew,insurance, maintenance,outfitting,etc. I'm sure many viewers would be interested.
If by some miracle I ever get the money to buy a boat, Bering seems to be the one for me. It so amazing to see all the working that goes into building one of the magnificent pieces of art.
I was worried that as stuff started getting installed in the interior, rooms would get small quick. That doesn't seem to be the case at all. She's still huge! It's amazing how clean they keep their work areas. Love it!

Seeing how much piping, cabling and wiring is behind not just behind the ceiling but under the floor makes me wonder how you get to everything for repair without tearing everything up. Wiring in side of conduit can be pulled out and replaced but when cabling is held in place in huge bundles held in place l with Thousands of cable ties it would be a nightmare. Plumbing would even be worse. It’s amazing when you see how much goes into building boats of this size. I’ve been following alone from the beginning and it’s just staggering. Walking up the steps and Rico stops to talk about the end of the Yacht and say "I can see that it's nicely finished". Yep, that was my exact same thought just moments before when Victoria was walking up the stairs. That end looks VERY nicely finished indeed!....and the boat is also! LOL! 😉😍🥰😁

Could you ask Alexei to do a quick explanation of what exactly that fairing material is. What sticks on a boat in the water for years and never falls off? What is it made off. How does it stick like permanently as if it's the actual boat? It boggles my mind. I always thought they painted the steel. LoL.

the splattered looking grey paint that is sprayed over the primer is called guide coat. when you start sanding the primer it will show you not only where you have sanded but all the defects, high and low areas.
It is remarkable watching the build. Thanks for letting us see this. This also makes you apricate the guys that trouble shoot problems during the life the yacht. The levels of craftsman ship are world class. Super cool. exciting. You have created an amazing adventure getting ready to go.

When Alexi first explained the build process, especially the fairing, couldn't see getting this completed in under 30,000 build hours. Now I believe the labour count to be more like 50,000 hrs. maybe more!!!! Hope you're able to provide estimated/actual hrs. for the beautiful Big Girl when she hits the water ......... December?
Rico and Vic, Your Trawler Class? is just beyond belief! The built-in QUALITY designed and engineered by Behring Yachts can not say enough good things! Personally, i believe the Owner has added some surprises because they love you both! Speaking the language and German, also ❤ My suggestion is to ask for pictures before the ceiling and sub flooring are installed? On the other hand, you will have several catalog provisions for all the details, Love you, both. (i have one of the Squirrels named "Rico". Excellent job as I always enjoyed it and really hope that the engine installation section comes along quicker than this segment did By the way I noticed something that may be very important to you.. when Rico went down the Port sidewalk I noticed that as he went by the stairway that there is a very sharp corner that was created when the faring was put on. and in the past you many times had said that you would prefer rounded corners so that when it was rough out no one would hit the sharp corners. if you review the video you will see what I'm talking about. Keep up the good work and I can't hardly wait for the next segment.

The layout and clearance of all piping and cabling and hydraulic lines in the subfloor is INCREDIBLE. I wish there was a way to have that schematic mirrored in the visible design! I'd probably mirror the layout of all the cabling, piping, and ducting as design elements on the INSIDE of the cabin. How cool would that be?!

Foam actually gives it super strength. The only two houses on the gulf coast that weren't blown away about 15 years ago were built with Styrofoam.

The layout and clearance of all piping and cabling and hydraulic lines in the subfloor is INCREDIBLE. I wish there was a way to have that schematic mirrored in the visible design! I'd probably mirror the layout of all the cabling, piping, and ducting as design elements on the INSIDE of the cabin. How cool would that be?!
