How to make quilling vortex coils - Part 2

This new method of making the vortex coils is a lot easier compared to the method I showed in my previous tutorial. I do hope you will have fun making the vortex coils! :)

Maybe it's just me, to I so much like your first method of vortex quilling so much better than this method. the first method using the flea comb made such precise beautiful vortexes everyone was so close to perfect they look so precise...... this message does seem to be a little easier maybe but it also seems messier the vortexes seem to be blurry I'll practice this a bit more but I think I'll stick to the flea call method but as always your videos are wonderful and you're teaching methods are superb!

Re-tried small coil, it’s better but, still not up to your standard. Have decided to try again tomorrow & if I succeed I’ll try with 2 strips!

what are they used for, and mine don't seem to show different color's like your's, I love them, but I must be doing something wrong..your's are so nice and show a swirl like two colors...very good video, you are very talented. thank's I will get it soon.
You can make flowers with them or butterflies. I've seen some people do that. It's all up to your imagination. Hope you will be able to make lots of them pretty vortex coils. :) Thank you so much for watching my video :)
If you watch the video (!), you will see she glues different colored strips, end to end, to achieve the multiple colors - you need to watch and listen first.

Sorry to hear that. I have to say, the technique using the slotted quilling tool is very challenging. I haven't used this technique anymore as it hurts my fingers. I prefer to use the quilling comb instead now.

What weight paper are you using?
BTW, where can I get one of those "circle templates" with the raised rims around each circle? I've been looking for one such as that for some time.

The material is paper and the tool is a slotted quilling tool. There are a lot of suppliers of quilling supplies via online that you can buy it from.
