The last girl I was with last felt like a gift from god. But I wasn’t prepared for someone as quality as her and I messed it up. It’s been hard to forgive myself, but at the same time it taught me I still have some work to do before I deserve what I want.
Thanks for sharing. I've messed up many times too, but that's part of the journey and what made me into the person I am today, which I'm grateful for. You are good enough. Keep putting in the work and good things will come.
How did you meet your girlfriend? Were you looking or did you "stumble upon" her? I'm trying to date right now and it's pretty challenging, especially with dating apps. I constantly flip between focusing on myself and dating, but I do feel that focusing on myself is the key.
I met her online and "stumbled" upon her. I was in a phase on my life, where I was dating a lot and not at all looking for a GF, but she made a very special impression on me and we had great chemistry, so I decided to go with my gut and commit to her. I also spent a lot of time beforehand improving myself and learning how to "get good" at the apps and dating in general, so many of the dates I had during that time told me how comfortable they felt in my company, even on first dates. My advice: Do "social summers", where you go all in on being social, meeting people and dating and "work winters" where you're focusing on improving yourself, building up skills and become the best version of yourself. That's what has worked for me.
Your way of supporting and accepting one another inspires me a lot! I dream of having a relationship like yours.
Thanks! I'm sincerely happy that you found it useful. I'm sure that you'll get one like it one day.
