    Dig all these cocktails but I’ve never had the Absinthe Frappe. The 1.5 oz of Absinthe always turned me off but your reaction has me sold that I should try it. Good stuff as ALWAYS! Cheers!

      Yo Vino. I really believe you will enjoy an Absinthe Frappe. Think of a refreshing lemon and mint soda water with just a touch of licorice and sweetness (and booze). It’s a home run!

    Always fun to explore absinthe. Sazerac is right up there for me.

      Thanks for watching. I’m right there with you on the Sazerac when I am looking for something boozy and that Absinthe Frappe is a great thirst-quencher.

    I did the Sazerac with a Sazerac Rye whiskey, and it's a wonderful variation of an old fashioned. Easier to make than one might think.

    Second..I love the history and simplicity of the Death in the afternoon. I agree toning down the absinthe for this one is best. We use absinthe in Tiki often and people are always surprised that it’s in their cocktail. It’s fun to use in small quantities and I find it refreshing like an amaro. Love Suze. Like your tasting notes for all of the cocktails. You always educate me. Cheers and have a wonderful weekend

      Thanks for watching my video Ann. One of the reasons I enjoy Tiki cocktails is because of their use of unconventional ingredients, yet they are so tasty. Have a great weekend and you keep on crushing it!

    For the Death in the Afternoon, do you think it would still taste good with Prosecco instead of Champagne, or is it really just meant to be champagne?

    • @MasterYourGlass
      @MasterYourGlass  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really does depend on what brand Prosecco is replacing what brand of champagne. In broad strokes it might be even better with Prosecco Because Prosecco tends to be a little lighter puckery and refreshing then some buttery champagnes. Thank you for watching!

    Going to ask my local chemist to make an Absinthe Frappe’.... is it a lemon or a lime wedge? Reading the recipe is diff from video... Thanks!

    • @MasterYourGlass
      @MasterYourGlass  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s honestly either or. I put lemon in the drink (which is options but I find it to be useful) as its more soft and lime as a garnish. Let me know how it comes out and thanks for watching!

    Man am I glad I live in a country that still uses the correct volume ratios! I hate it when see milli-liter measurements for drinks or really any recipe. Makes me feel like I'm in a chemical factory, not enjoying food and drink! I stick with the original version of cocktails, ounces and jiggers only please!
