  • DUBLIN VS VANCOUVER?! Does Vancouver have better job opportunities?
    Does Dublin have better weather than Vancouver? Is Dublin safer than Vancouver? Where is better for a gap year? Is there a housing crisis in Ireland? Or is housing hard to find in Vancouver too?
    I hope you love this Q&A where I interview Rachel on the differences between her life in Canada, and what is was like for her in Dublin, Ireland... WHICH CITY IS BETTER!!!???? Always so fun having friends on my channel - i hope you love this chat as much as i did :) :) leave any comments below if you have follow up questions for Rach on her opinion living here in Vancouver!

    to add to the final point, europe is very easy to get to from dublin. manchester is a 15 euro flight away, and paris and berlin are both easy to get to on a weekend trip

    I’m Irish and literally 50:50 between Vancouver and Melbourne I’ve more friends in Vancouver but I really don’t like the idea of not living in a fun city 😭 like I love my nights out and atmosphere, is that the case in Vancouver?:(

    Im coming to Trinity western university for my bachelors, im from a middlle class family, will i never get affordable housing in the fraser valley region?

    • @SashSays
      @SashSays  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fraser valley theres cheaper options than downtown Vancouver for sure. My friend owns a house in Surrey. So its doable! How much are you willing to spend on rent is the question…? 😬😬

      @@SashSays im coming as a student, so anything that can be paid with minimum wage? Is it possible?

    • @SashSays
      @SashSays  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thelostlight. just make sure you look on facebook and craigslist for rooms for rent. If you are sharing its a lot cheaper, and just make sure you feel safe in the space and beware of dodgy setups. You may get a room for $500 a month out in the fraser valley but its competitive 🥲😫

    Is holidays very less in Canada compared to other countries?

    • @SashSays
      @SashSays  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you mean like Christmas and Halloween etc? Canada goes ALL out for those! So magical and fun!! Easter isnt a big deal here though. If you are talking about working.. you only get 2 weeks paid time off here in BC. In Australia, its 4 weeks

      @@thelostlight. honestly it is annoying but i get stat holidays off here and love my job now so i dont mind it ☺️

      @@SashSays what is stat holidays? Can you explain please

    • @SashSays
      @SashSays  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thelostlight. it’s like a public holiday. Statutory holiday it stands for. Like Christmas and Canada Day etc. a government recognised holiday that most workers get off if they work a 9-5.

    If you just stay in your apartment other than work or errands, you're going to have a difficult time making friends anywhere.

      Agreed!! And dont rely on your partner to help you out 😩 cause i did that too much and that didnt help me with ANY mates! You gotta do it yourself FOR yourself if you want friends 🩷😊
