I just watched a transformation scene from the remake. It's NOTHING compared to this. That hungry passion in her eyes... all it takes is one little look and you know it's all true. Masterfully done. Thank you for posting this, HoughsVideos.
I never saw the remake (in fact I only saw this whole movie for the first time tonight), but I have seen clips of it. The transformation looks good in that, but I found myself thinking that while it's probably bloodier and requires more make-up and all I find this scarier. All they needed to make this tense were the shadows and the lighting in her eyes. Really doesn't get as much credit as it deserves. Sadly my generation isn't exposed to great stuff like this. Well that's their loss I guess.
Hey Houghs: As an artist, I often notice that non-artists conspicuously don't mention the Director's name in their blurb. Is it because you don't want to share the glory for discovery of this video with the director? You have every search tag but his name!
Mr. Hough, I'd like to buy a Felix the Cat DVD from your site but when I sent an email to the address listed there it bounced back. Is there any other way of contacting you?

It's a little-known fact, but people in 1942 didn't shit. There was rationing going on at that time, and all the shit was needed for the war effort. Cheers.
Use of light and darkness in this film is fabulous! Thank you for sharing with us this sequence!
