I too could not listen to this message without my eyes wetting. Lord make me a man of prayer and enable me to travail in prayer at all times for the dying people of my country. O God please hear, please answer
This message brought me to tears. Wooooow. We the church are so backslidden as a whole, when it comes to prayer meetings and our own personal lives. Men like Nash and Praying Hyde would bring us to guilt and conviction if we were to listen to them pray beside us. As an intercessor this episode gave me a good swift kick in the seat of my pants. God bless you Brother Ronnie.
Prayer and Intercession are some of the most understated weapons in the current church; prayer ministry is one element that has grossly been neglected in our churches. "Lord send the Spirit of prayer over the body of Christ, and let there be a move of God in our time." I have tears in my eyes, broken in my spirit over the ill state of the current church. No sacrifice in the presence of God through prayer, but we have conveniently replaced prayer with technology in our effort to entice the people in, with podcasts and TV shows. God help us.. 😢😢😢😢 "They have been down on their faces for three days, without food" What a man, what a spiritual warrior Father Nash was, Mighty in prayer. Even if he has been forgotten in human realms; his prayers are still yielding results.
Well done my brother and laborer in Christ for bringing to light Daniel Nash who interceded in darkness to set the captives free. " Fear (reverence & awe for God) took hold of them there, and pain, as a woman in travail." Psalm 48:6
Daniel Nash us an example of the Living life of an effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man that avails much !!! God awaken your people to the reality of we are to be housed of prayer
Praise Jesus for leading me to this Channel. Thank You. One of the most beautiful visions I ever read about involved a person who was shown that of all the Crowns in Heaven awarded to the Saints- the most Beautiful and Special was reserved for a humble, backwoods/frontier USA preacher from the 18th-19th century. The Crown was carved from wood. I read this years ago- but this story has been on my heart the last few weeks- and then I found this channel today in 2021- with stories of forgotten, humble Preachers.!! They are truly inspiring and edifying. Praise Jesus !
This has really challenged me. I have a strong desire to pray extended hours. I also have with groaning. I pray that I can enter into a covenant of prayer with someone 🙏🔥
We need Pastors that will keep their churches open for people to have all night prayers then we will see a great move of God. We have to let God change us before we can help anyone else change.
@@jameshodges2603 Thank you. A few years ago a pastor i sit under allowed his people to have a key to the church he always encouraged his people to stop any time and pray he would be right there with us night after night praying seeking God wow Great moves of God was in our Church. Hes gone on to be with the Lord now. I wish Pastors now would get the same vision but they are to content to live without the move of God. Maybe the reason they dont let their people go any time to the church and pray is maybe they dont pray them selves. Sad. If it work for great men and women of old it will work now. My house shall be called a House of prayer. Can i ask Why isnt it? Not a house of song, not a house of teaching. not even a house of preaching, But a house of prayer. Again why isnt it?

Wonderful. I cried all way through it. Great job Brother Brown, you have the perfect accent and voice to narrate these videos. Daniel Nash, along with John Wesley, have had the greatest impact on my life.
Lord have mercy on us, We have grown so cold, We are a church of tea, biscuits and sausages in prayer meetings. We need to put these childish ways behind us..
I'm not sure how to get back to a place of faith, convincing myself the movements of the spirit in my youth were fake based on the behavior of those people around me after hearing and seeing them profess Christianity. After 20 years in church and now 16 years out I still struggle to ignore the call of God on my life. I've visited and prayed on the site of Father Nash's resting place, as a young man my friends and I would labor in prayer seeking a movement of God to change upstate NY, to send revival. I'm just not sure how to get back there.
Seek the word, read your bible, pray to God, talk to him deeply and focus on his word in the bible, and as you study, invite the holy spirit to reveal to you, your mistakes, how to correct the m and also, wait to listen to him and apply what he says to you
I’ve been in and out of church too. The thing that bothers me is that many profess to be Christians, yet they aren’t willing to pray nowhere nearly enough to get the job done. Our answer lies not in the man made façade that man calls “church,” but in the presence of the Almighty Father and ablaze with the fire of the Holy Ghost. Jesus didn’t die for the institution that is today’s organized religion. He didn’t die for a system, He died for the people. The true church is not a system or building, it is those who follow Jesus, no matter the cost, no matter the sacrifice. Leonard Ravenhill said this would be a lonely life. It will be worth it in the end. The world has nothing for us. Like another user said about praying in tongues is the key. It has helped me immensely.
If you people ever want a good book to read that will stir you its called (The God Chasers) by Tommy Tenney as i was reading it i wept so hard i become so hungry for the move of God. Dear God help us to become more hungry for God and for a move of God in our life.
Praise the Lord! I'm glad it was a blessing to you. This question has come up several times. The photo used cuts off the remainder of the headstone which reads: FINNY Mighty in Prayer Nov. 27 1775 Dec. 20 1831 Do an image search for "daniel nash grave site" and you should get a view of the entire headstone. Thanks so much for listening to the Forgotten Podcast!
Do you have this written? There is some parts that I can't understand and I would like to read it (English is not my first language). God bless you and your work brother
Those were the years that Father Nash pastored. I had to cut the lower portion of the gravestone off (which had the dates of his birth and death) because the best photo I could find was portrait and not landscape. You can Google search "Daniel Nash Gravestone" and in the results you can see the full marker.
