That was a fun way to start off Monday! Well done on your solve, you found every intended step in an order I wasn't expecting, in my test solves I never tried coloring before you start placing some digits in so it was cool to see how far that could take you. I "borrowed" the cages sharing a digit rule from sujoyku and thought the anti diagonal rule could be a fun spin on it, hopefully I should have a 9x9 version of this out in the near future.
@@adrianhead6272 The 156 problem Kathy identifies around 13:25 is available without any coloring, it was the first thing I set so I was naturally biased towards that. Coloring was certainly intended throughout the solve, I just never did it in that order.
Nope you're right actually. I definitely saw the box 3 highlighted cell as just blue, since it highlighted when I double clicked another blue cell🙃 I think I mentioned later that double clicking with colors make me nervous for that exact reason lol
Huh, I never even touched the colors when I did my solve: I was able to use the 12 cage to disambiguate between the two possible cases for the 6 and 8 cages, then solve from there.
After a few dead ends, I finished with an unimpressive 34:12. I had to resort to bifurcation because I could not ascertain that r3c2 was blue. By the way, someone needs a manicure.

I thought coloring was the obvious approach... you can identify six different digits instantly. The dot solely disambiguates.

A 9x9 would be fun! I enjoyed the way these rules worked together :)
Very nice job. Colouring was definitely a good way to go.
Only thing that I wondering is that how you get blue surely in with red in left and bottom. It can be green with red in 8 cage.

You can identify "six" different digits instantly, from there it's just a matter of determining which each is. Completed in 4m37s.
Brilliant, I have yet to conquer colours!

Finaly I found a sudoku stream without some old guy. Lets see if you can surprise me with the difficulty you play.
