I started wearing it at 15. I was the only Muslim at my school, let alone hijabi. It was hard, but I pushed through. It's worth it. Yes, it is a test. People give me a hard time, but I'm doing this for the sake of Allah. I have been wearing it ever since. I am now 26. My mom wanted to be an example for me. I enjoy it. I've dealt with profiling at airports, racism (I'm Black and Muslim), prejudice, and all around hate. However, I do it for Allah and I'll die for it.

same, I started wearing the hijab in the 5th grade and it has ever since been with me till this day. I was the only one wearing it in a white community and it’s hard, I feel you girl and we’re in this together 😊🥹♥️

The ones trying to fit society are really the ones that are opressed and dealing with body image issues and the beauty standards trying to change their whole natural selves and still not be satisfied. As u said, people will always try to fit someting. The ones doing it for Allah will never be opressed.

As a revert it’s definitely hard not to let the reactions of others affect my modesty for Allah. People who know me are so used to seeing me a certain way and people see hijab and assume it means you’re ready to explain your faith to them which I’m not ready to do. I’m honestly afraid of the cleanse hijab will give me once I wear it bc Ik it’s gonna hurt to not be accepted by everyone around me. Especially already being black, Islam was always something I was able to keep to myself without having to feel open to public criticism like my skin. I know it’s for Allah but I think I’m still accepting that I will always be judged in the western world no matter what.

Hii! It can be really tough starting to wear hijab, especially when you're worried about how others might react. Remember, you wear hijab for Allah, and that's the most important thing. He sees your heart and your intentions.
As for the cleanse, it might be difficult at first, but it can also be very powerful. You might find a strong community of Muslim sisters who will support you and uplift you. Don't be afraid to take things at your own pace. You can gradually ease into hijab, and there are many beautiful and stylish ways to wear it.
If you're ever feeling down or need someone to talk to, you can always reach out to us, we're open to hear you out. Remember, you're not alone

Sisters may Allah bless you with what you’re doing, just an advice coming from ur Muslim sister to be ware of covering your arm when wearing baggy sleeves with either a tight long sleeve under ur clothes or just an arm coverer. Covering up is one of the hardest journeys and realizing that hijab doesn’t only mean covering up externally but it’s also lowering ur gaze, wearing less to no makeup, being polite, not laughing too loud or talking too loud, there is always better ways to be a better hijabi🤍🤍

@@Saja..211 salam, im really sorry if i came over as rude. I dont want to make them sad or anything like that! But im happy that you ask me these things so that i can elaborate on them!
      So regarding jewelry and beautification:
There was a similar question from someone and it was answered from trustworthy scholar:
      „ Question:
Many women in Egypt put Kuhl (kohl, antimon powder, kajal, eyeliner) in their eyes and when I tell them that it is haram to do this as an embellishment (note: before non-Mahaarim) they say that it is from the Sunnah. Is this true?
      Answer:
The use of Kuhl is allowed, but a woman is not allowed to show anything of her embellishment, be it Kuhl that is applied to the eyes, or the like to someone other than her husband or her Mahaarim, because Allah says:
      {وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ}
"And should reveal their jewelry to no one (other) but to her husband ..." (Surah An-Nur 24:31)
And from Allah is the success. May Allah's salvation and blessing be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions.

Second question of the Fatwa No. 10823
I just simply translated it from my language in English, so I hope there are no mistakes, but you can find this answer from the scholars on the internet too.
The Quran is very clear on this issue.
(Surah An-Nur 24:31) :Ibn Kathir (rahimahullah) said: "This means: she should not show anything of her jewelry in front of men who are not Mahaarim, except what cannot be hidden.
If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask me. May Allah bless u.
