You seem so patient which we don't usually see in plastic surgeons - because they are usually very busy (good business!) and they rush in and rush out..
Glad you found the video helpful, Michelle Lilo. There are essentially two types of cosmetic surgeons: high volume of patients who spend less time with patients, or low volume of patients who spend more time with patients. However, this does reflect in the cost.
Hi Savvy N, It is possible that a nerve or muscle was hit in the forehead such as the frontalis muscle, but I would need a physical exam and more details about your procedure to determine this. Hi Chantal Loyer, Thank you for your kind words! PRP alone can help skin quality, tone, texture, and color, but people do respond differently to it. For skin tightening, you may also benefit from laser or radiofrequency treatment as these are really meant for skin tightening. It may take a combination of both PRP and a thermal energy treatment for the results you seek, but this is best determined with a physical examination. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi doctor , what is more effective and better result injecting or prp with dermapen. I did both however I find injection more effective. I saw an immediate effect. While when I did prp with derma pen on I have really notice a different. Can you pls explain. Thank you.
Hi@@keepingupwithlilly6591, I generally find injecting PRP more effective as absorption is better when injected directly into tissue rather than having some of the PRP absorbed by the microchannels created by microneedling. I hope this clarifies things for you.
It's very informative video...I have great skin but I have had some different lasers treatments to my skin for volume which didn't seem to do to much for that issue. After listening to your video.. Laser is a huge one. their have been tons of people damaged by laser its heart breaking . Hi masterofwealth, I agree with you that very aggressive treatment of microneedling, lasers, or peels can damage the skin. I use PRP to stimulate collagen and improve skin quality so excessive exposure to laser can be avoided. Skin damage is very difficult to reverse. I do have several videos about limiting laser exposure, and having less aggressive treatments to avoid skin damage.
@@AmiyaPrasadMDHi Doctor. Really hope you can get back to me. I exactly experienced what the lady said in the comment but only the orange peel texture. My last session is in two days. Hi@@PC-zf7pn, Sorry to hear about your problem. It's important to know that the laser itself does not cause complications like an orange peel texture, nor does it determine successful results, but rather the experience and judgment of the doctor using the laser or other device. The device is just a tool, and it’s the doctor’s judgment using the tool that separates great results from ineffectiveness, or potential complications. @@AmiyaPrasadMD Hi Doctor. Thank you so much for your repply. I was talking about the prf microneedling. I believe is the cause of that orange peel texture in my cheeks. Hope you can give me some ideas on what to do and if I should do microneedling one last time. Thank you in advance 🙏
Hi@@PC-zf7pn, I hope you understand that I can't make specific treatment recommendations without examining your skin, knowing your skin type, and what you are trying to treat. Microneedling is generally an aggressive procedure. Orange peel skin at the chin can be due to mentalis muscle overactivity which is not related to microneedling. I would have to examine your skin, and know what your are trying to treat before giving you specific treatment recommendations. It's also difficult to recommend a treatment that would be performed by someone else as they may do it differently, or more aggressively than I would. I hope this helps you.
Hi Dr, I have hyperpigmation and my skin colour is dark. I am thinking to try microneedling. Do you think it helps to treat my situation and if yes, is it safe for my skin type? If this type of treatment doesn't treat pigmentation please give me your recommendation what should I try. Thank you .

Hi Doctor, I just had PRP under eyes last week 2/14/24. I noticed you always reference "PRP with hydraulic acid fillers", I was hoping I could get away with just PRP. I'm 59 and had fillers under my eyes years ago, but I don't want to go that route anymore as the skin ages I just want to do something more natural and hope it plumps up my hollows. I am going to go for one other treatment in a month from now and possibly a 3rd if needed. My skin is in really good condition for 59, no lines, just the hollows under my eyes bugging me, please let me know if you think PRP will work on its own?? Thank you so much for all your excellent videos on these subjects!💕
Hi @KatKatz11, PRP is primarily for improving skin quality, texture, and thickness, but it will not provide adequate volume for under eye hollowing. Hyaluronic acid which makes up many popular fillers, actually naturally exists in the body to retain moisture in the skin, as well as lubricates joints, so it biocompatible, and safe to administer. You can refer to this more recent video about why PRP or PRF (platelet-rich fibrin, a thicker form of PRP) cannot replace hyaluronic acid fillers for volume correction - th-cam.com/video/5f7_CLtYzNY/w-d-xo.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD OK, I will try just the PRP for 3 treatments to see how it works for me on its own and then think about filler. I had filler years ago under eyes, but at 59 I'm hesitant...I've read a lot of articles and TH-cam saying it's not good for people my age abd won't work as well as on someone younger. My hollows are not that deep, maybe just the skin thickening of PRP will be enough!🤞Thank you!
Hi@@KatKatz11, It's important to remember that filler placement is about technique more than the material. Filler can be administered safely, and effectively at your age. You can refer to these more recent videos about risks and expectations of under eye fillers, and the importance of technique: th-cam.com/video/lA6ietCvZf8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/fwTBCiGGQs4/w-d-xo.html
Hi vedika puri, PRP can help thicken eyelid skin, and improves the fatty layer under the skin, but completely reversing fat loss is difficult. PRP does not cause eye bags or do any damage to the body as it is a product of your own body. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Amiya Prasad, M.D. Thank you for your response Dr..I also wanted to know that for how long does the fat loss keep happening after a treatment like ultherapy...do we keep losing fat cells even 10 month post the treatment?
Sir, i love to see your videos which are very informative regarding latest procedures.i have a miserable story of my face, i have got HIFU treatment for 2 times , After this my facial fat has gone from cheek & under eyes. I am 50 years old now i have taken this treatment before 3 years. Now my face is going slim & slim every day. Hollowness occurs under eyes area & cheek are gone flattened day by day.. 😢😢😢Fillers are temporary solution which i have taken every after 3 months.which is not affordable.. what will you suggest me?
Hi Mastura Shamoon, Sorry to hear about your problem. While overexposure or overheating from thermal devices can cause fat loss, there are also bone, muscle, soft tissue, and fat loss due to normal facial aging. Also, fillers under the eyes can last up to a year with ideal placement by an experienced doctor, and the thicker cheek fillers I use can last up to two years. I would have to perform a physical evaluation before making specific treatment recommendations for you, but you can refer to these more recent videos on who I treat these areas, and how I avoid facial volume loss due to excessive thermal treatments. Thank you for watching! th-cam.com/video/fwTBCiGGQs4/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/VzzsbNDlaHQ/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/kpkIuOXkloI/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/lA6ietCvZf8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/u6NgcAjecGo/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/kZuz3PoTi0I/w-d-xo.html
Hi@@masturashamoon9236, Fat cells are lost permanently once they are destroyed by thermal damage. Remaining fat cells can increase in volume through weight gain, but I don't recommend this as you will be gaining weight and fat in other areas of your body aside from the face. Gaining weight can have other health repercussions, such as additional strain on your joints. Treatments like PRP can enhance the essential fat layer under the skin, but this layer of fat also diminishes with age. An examination is needed to determine what can be done for you. I hope this helps you.
Hi miss luxury, PRP can help improve skin quality in treating acne scars, but treating acne scars usually take several treatment sessions, and more than one mode of treatment. You can refer to this video about it - th-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/w-d-xo.html
Hi leovanniesheng, The microneedling pen can be adjusted for depth, from 0.25mm to 3mm. The skin is usually 2mm thick, and eyelid skin is 0.5mm thick. You can watch this video for more details th-cam.com/video/gfTtxFl5NeQ/w-d-xo.html
Hi miaeba, PRP is primarily for improving skin quality and texture. While PRP can improve the essential fat layer beneath the skin to provide some volume, it does not provide nearly as much volume as a filler. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thank you I also watched another one of your videos It did clear it up. Thank you for the response also I contacted your office for a consult
Hi Shaiata shai, Microneedling can be adjusted for depth, so pain really depends on the indication for the treatment, and the depth of the treatment, with deeper treatment having more pain, and a more superficial treatment involving less. However, depending on the practitioner, a topical anesthetic may be used for the pain. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Hrs Sehrawat. Jattitude, That is not practical since PRP has to be extracted and prepared by a professional, and a professional wouldn't use a dermaroller, but rather microneedling device. I hope this helps you.
Hi Marina Kiranti, There is no one best treatment for acne scars. Acne scars usually require more than one mode of treatment, and several treatment sessions. Also, PRP injections or microneedling alone don't treat the tissue loss that causes deep acne scars. A physical exam is needed to determine the best approach for you. You can refer to these videos about why there is no single best treatment for acne scars, and why tissue loss is important to address: th-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/MvtDyCYUgO4/w-d-xo.html
Hello doctor. I love watching your videos. Whenever I have a question i search for your channel and bam, you have a video about that. I have skin atrophy and fat loss with face flushing and a lot of telangiectasia (very similar to steroid induced but) due to UV exposure while on tretinoin but i was on oral Prednisone so who knows. I don't want microneedling to be honest. I want to have a few sessions of PRP injections. But i wanna know what would you go for?
Hi @Maria_Shoaib, Thank you for watching! I'm glad you found the topics that interest you. As you've said yourself, even you're not sure about the cause of your skin issue, so you understand that I can't make treatment recommendations without diagnosing the exact issue first. I would need to physically examine your skin, and possible fat loss before making specific treatment recommendations for you. I hope this helps you.
Hi S S, If PRP was injected, then applying a moisturizer soon after treatment is not an issue. If PRP was applied with microneedling or another microchannel device like our Skin Booster, you should wait at least 24 hours after the treatment before applying moisturizer or anything else on your face. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Shona Kashyap, It always depends first on what area or issue you want to have treated, then after diagnosis we can proceed with specific treatments. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Asil suliman, Microneedling and PRP are primarily used to treat acne scars, but there are many treatments for acne scars that all depend on your skin type and type of scars. The important thing in treating acne scars is recognizing that it takes a treatment plan, and not just one treatment session or mode of treatment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
halo doctor. thankyou for the great video. i have hairloss problem . 1 month ago i just got done hair transplantation . now little bit hair loss again in transplantation place,. is it normal? and my doctor suggest me to get prp treatment, he dont say how many times prp treatment must be take , peryear/permonth/perweek and which is better prp with injections or prp with microneedling? sorry for bad english
Hi Erich HST, I'd need to ask you if you are male or female, and your age, as these are important factors on whether or not you should have a hair transplant to begin with. I don't administer PRP alone for hair loss with the uncertainty of treatment you describe as one of the big reasons why. Our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration injection treatment is not PRP alone, and is only needed 1-2 times separated by 15-24 months, and can last 3-5 years. You can refer to this video about why PRP alone for hair loss has a limited effect - th-cam.com/video/xSMTd9qVwNo/w-d-xo.html

HI, I just had PRP done last Wednesday 2/14/24 under my eyes for hollows and plan to go back in a month and then again for 3rd time if needed, But do I need Hydraulic acid filler with it?? I've had filler years ago but, at 59 wanted something more natural. I was hoping PRP will make hollows better and skin will be nicer under eyes when wearing makeup (daily😊). Will I get results with PRP alone? P.S. my skin is in good condition for 59, really no lines, just eyes bother me.
Hi snehkalp, There are no side effects of PRP, but microneedling is not suitable for all skin types as it can cause hyperpigmentation, especially in darker skin. You can refer to these videos about it: th-cam.com/video/QsyHv05NfTM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/4nER0bK1Fvw/w-d-xo.html
Hi@@learnwithaanya5524, I haven't examined your skin or wrinkles, so I can't say it's safe for your skin type. Wrinkles should not be treated with surgery. You can refer to these videos for guidance about it: th-cam.com/video/PXMhY90TReM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/U7kJ4CMcJ0A/w-d-xo.html
Hi K P, Using an injection or microneedling depends on the issue being treated, but I do use the injection most often. PRP for the lower eyelids is primarily to improve skin quality, with the hollowness needing additional treatment like a hyaluronic acid filler. Hi Kaneesha Maran, There is no one single best treatment for acne scars as there are different types and depths of scars, and different skin types. The best way to treat acne scars is to start with a physical exam of your skin, then stick to one doctor and their treatment plan as it usually requires several sessions and different modes of treatment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Subhashree Behera, Number of treatments vary on the type of scar, and how the individual responds to treatment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@raviranjan493, I generally don't recommend permanent fillers, and acne scars cannot be completely erased, but their appearance can be improved. Acne scars take several treatment sessions, not just one, so you need to stay with one doctor throughout, and follow a treatment plan. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Asiya nazir, Sorry to hear that. As I don't know details about your treatment, or your skin type, I suggest you follow up with the doctor who performed your treatment. I hope this helps you.

Hi Marge, Sorry to hear about your problem. Microneedling and other skincare treatments are generally safe for lupus patients, as long as lupus hasn't manifested in any skin conditions. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi dr prasad i want to ask if i get prp for my dark circles and the dark area around my lips then for how long the effects of this treatment (PRP) will stay ? Any time limit or its effects are for lifetime?? Please guide me thank you:)
Hi Sana Ejaz, PRP can help the overall health of your skin long-term, but like any skin treatment, it does need maintenance. With PRP, the best outcome is often from building on results with multiple treatments. Everyone responds differently to PRP, so I can't give an exact timeline off its effectiveness for you. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Is The Vampire Facelift legitimate? I had my first one done 12/29/2016, the second one on 1/28/17. PRP with injections and needling. I have yet to see any difference. I am a 46 year old male with wrinkles and fine lines, already good skin.
Hi Andy Simmons, There are some practices claiming to offer the Vampire Facelift®, but it's not a genuine Vampire Facelift®, and this sounds like your problem. The Vampire Facelift® uses a hyaluronic acid filler in addition to PRP to add volume, which you didn't mention, and is also done via injection, not microneedling. The Vampire Facial® is done with microneedling, and without a flller, but is done with platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM), which is activated PRP so it becomes a gel, which is for slow release of growth and healing factors for PRP. Also, the Vampire Facelift® or Vampire Facial® are done every six months, not once a month like you mentioned. Your provider sounds like they are using the name, but not an official member of the Vampire Facelift® Network or their procedure would be aligned to what I just mentioned. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi dr vaishali shah, Platelet-rich fibrin matrix and PRP have practically the same effect, but the thickened PRFM calcium chloride gives a slow-release effect. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hlo sir, I want to ask you that The prp is the peramanent treatment for acne scar ..Acne scar will not appear after six month or one year please tell me sir..

Dear doctor, I was suggested micro needling radio frequency treatment with prp for crows feet. Would like to know if any of these under eye treatments can cause blindness?
Hi Sashi Ram, Microneedling can be controlled for depth, but any treatment does carry a risk, and the risk is reduced by the experience of the doctor. As an eyelid specialist it hasn't happened to my patients, but many doctors do not perform under eye treatments because of the delicate nature of the eye area. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thank you doctor for taking your valuable time to reply. Sorry for asking too many questions. I have done cataract surgery. Can the heat generated from RF affect eyes in anyway? Can it cause retinal detachment? Can injecting prp around the eyes cause any damage?

Dr. What is the difference between Harvest and Selphyl prp? Which is is more suitable for under eye? On realself some people had a allergic reaction to injecting selphyl under eyes. Last question some dr. Spread the blood on the face after wards while other don't
Hi Bella Pablo, Any PRP provider with a lot of experience will use the best system for you. You can't be allergic to PRP since it comes from your own body, so allergic reactions are likely due to something external and incidental contact. PRP is not blood - it is clear, yellowish serum. I do apply PRP topically after microneedling, but it does not appear as blood since it is clear. Most of the time, I do administer PRP, whether by itself or with a filler, through injection. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi abigail joanna, There are many treatments for acne scars, but PRP alone is not likely to be enough. Acne scars are due to tissue loss, so it is important to have a treatment to make up for the tissue loss. A physical exam is needed to determine the right treatment plan for you, and acne scars normally take several treatments, so stick to one doctor and their treatment plan instead of constantly changing doctors. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi@@PC-zf7pn,
I hope you understand that I can't make specific treatment recommendations without examining your skin, knowing your skin type, and what you are trying to treat.
Thank you .
Does PRP effects the Harmons sir Dr Amiya Prasad
Hi Usman Ali,
PRP comes from your own blood, and does not change hormone levels in the body. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Would you recommend microneedling or injection for dark circles not hollowness, discoloration under the eye
Hi Lexi,
While a physical examination is needed before making specific recommendations for you, these videos feature the ways I treat under eye dark circles in my practice:

Hi Dr Prasad, is PRP any good for rocasea?
Hi zac caz,
Rosacea is an extensive skin issue that needs to be examined before treatment. PRP can help, but likely as part of a combination treatment, and not as a standalone treatment. A physical exam is needed before starting on a treatment plan for rosacea. I hope this helps you
Hello doctor sahab mere bht old scars hen bhot bare box scars type skin pe ap bta sakte hn chemical peel best hy yea prp mere doctor ne muje 3sesion prp ka kaha he
Hi Doctor, I just had PRP under eyes last week 2/14/24.
Hi @KatKatz11,
PRP is primarily for improving skin quality, texture, and thickness, but it will not provide adequate volume for under eye hollowing.
Hi@@KatKatz11,
It's important to remember that filler placement is about technique more than the material. Filler can be administered safely, and effectively at your age. You can refer to these more recent videos about risks and expectations of under eye fillers, and the importance of technique:

Does prp help to thicken under eye skin?does it reverse loss of fat on the face?do prp injections on the undereye cause eye bags or any other damage?
Hi vedika puri,
PRP can help thicken eyelid skin, and improves the fatty layer under the skin, but completely reversing fat loss is difficult.
Sorry, I can't answer your question because I do not administer Ultherapy, and I am not aware of the details behind your treatment.
Hi Mastura Shamoon,
Sorry to hear about your problem.

@@AmiyaPrasadMD thank you for your suggestion, can i gain facial fat again or not?
Hi@@masturashamoon9236,
Fat cells are lost permanently once they are destroyed by thermal damage. I hope this helps you.
is it possible only prp and no hylaraunic acid for deep acne scar
Hi miss luxury,
PRP can help improve skin quality in treating acne scars, but treating acne scars usually take several treatment sessions, and more than one mode of treatment. You can refer to this video about it - th-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you doctor. Do you recommend anyone in Los Angeles with similar knowledge and expertise prp?
Love your channel very informative and learning a lot from you! How deep does the needle go when doing the microneedling?
Hi leovanniesheng,
The microneedling pen can be adjusted for depth, from 0.25mm to 3mm. The skin is usually 2mm thick, and eyelid skin is 0.5mm thick. You can watch this video for more details th-cam.com/video/gfTtxFl5NeQ/w-d-xo.html
can you use PRP instead of a filler
Hi miaeba,
PRP is primarily for improving skin quality and texture.
You're welcome,@@miaeba! I hope to see you soon!
Plzzzzz reply is it painful?????
Hi Shaiata shai,
Microneedling can be adjusted for depth, so pain really depends on the indication for the treatment, and the depth of the treatment, with deeper treatment having more pain, and a more superficial treatment involving less. However, depending on the practitioner, a topical anesthetic may be used for the pain. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Can I do prp topically with dermaroller...
Hi Hrs Sehrawat. Jattitude,
That is not practical since PRP has to be extracted and prepared by a professional, and a professional wouldn't use a dermaroller, but rather microneedling device. I hope this helps you.
Hi Doc, I have I pick scars on my face would you recommend me which treatment should I use? Prp injection or prp microneedling?
Hi Marina Kiranti,
There is no one best treatment for acne scars. Acne scars usually require more than one mode of treatment, and several treatment sessions. Also, PRP injections or microneedling alone don't treat the tissue loss that causes deep acne scars. A physical exam is needed to determine the best approach for you. You can refer to these videos about why there is no single best treatment for acne scars, and why tissue loss is important to address:

Hello doctor. I love watching your videos. Whenever I have a question i search for your channel and bam, you have a video about that.
I have skin atrophy and fat loss with face flushing and a lot of telangiectasia (very similar to steroid induced but) due to UV exposure while on tretinoin but i was on oral Prednisone so who knows.
I don't want microneedling to be honest. I want to have a few sessions of PRP injections.
But i wanna know what would you go for?
Hi @Maria_Shoaib,
Thank you for watching!
I hope this helps you.

is it okay to apply moisturizer on top of prp or should i wash off prp after 8 hours
Hi S S,
If PRP was injected, then applying a moisturizer soon after treatment is not an issue. If PRP was applied with microneedling or another microchannel device like our Skin Booster, you should wait at least 24 hours after the treatment before applying moisturizer or anything else on your face. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Sir what is best PRP micronidlling or injection PRP
Hi Shona Kashyap,
It always depends first on what area or issue you want to have treated, then after diagnosis we can proceed with specific treatments. I hope this clarifies things for you.
it is can clear the acne!?
Hi Asil suliman,
Microneedling and PRP are primarily used to treat acne scars, but there are many treatments for acne scars that all depend on your skin type and type of scars.
Hi Erich HST,
I'd need to ask you if you are male or female, and your age, as these are important factors on whether or not you should have a hair transplant to begin with.

Hi Dr. Prasad. Wish you weren't so far away. Can you please tell me your thoughts on the u225 injection gun with prp for wrinkles and skin tone? Thank you so much for your time. :)
Any side effects of prp n microneedling?

Hi K P,
Using an injection or microneedling depends on the issue being treated, but I do use the injection most often. PRP for the lower eyelids is primarily to improve skin quality, with the hollowness needing additional treatment like a hyaluronic acid filler. hello sir, Is it permanent fillers for acne scar treatment..??And after some days the acne scar will not appear??..please tell me sir..
Hi@@raviranjan493,
I generally don't recommend permanent fillers, and acne scars cannot be completely erased, but their appearance can be improved. Acne scars take several treatment sessions, not just one, so you need to stay with one doctor throughout, and follow a treatment plan. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi Marge,
Sorry to hear about your problem.
Hi Sana Ejaz,
PRP can help the overall health of your skin long-term, but like any skin treatment, it does need maintenance.
Hi Andy Simmons,
There are some practices claiming to offer the Vampire Facelift®, but it's not a genuine Vampire Facelift®, and this sounds like your problem.
How is your result
Hello Dr .. could u give your take on iprf Vs prp..thx
Hi dr vaishali shah,
Platelet-rich fibrin matrix and PRP have practically the same effect, but the thickened PRFM calcium chloride gives a slow-release effect. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Dear doctor, I was suggested micro needling radio frequency treatment with prp for crows feet. Would like to know if any of these under eye treatments can cause blindness?
Hi Sashi Ram,
Microneedling can be controlled for depth, but any treatment does carry a risk, and the risk is reduced by the experience of the doctor.

Which is is more suitable for under eye?
On realself some people had a allergic reaction to injecting selphyl under eyes.
Last question some dr. Spread the blood on the face after wards while other don't
Hi Bella Pablo,
Any PRP provider with a lot of experience will use the best system for you.
Amiya Prasad, M.D. Thank you dr. Im grateful that you take the time to answer us .
You're welcome Bella!
Can PRP injection alone can heal pitted acne scars? Is it must to go for microneedling too...
Hi abigail joanna,
There are many treatments for acne scars, but PRP alone is not likely to be enough.
