Hi, thank you for your feedback! Since the track doesn't use a 7th from the G chord & the chords of the song are otherwise in both the key of C major and G major, you can play both, the G Major and G Myxolidian scale on this track. For me, the major scale with the major 7th suits this track better, but that's a personal choice 🙂
