I just started crocheting two days ago and have done a couple of wash cloths. When I saw this I decided to give it a go - your instructions are so clear with the video I actually made a mouse that looks great! I have not done the eyes and nose yet but am sure they will turnout cute too. Thank you so much for an easy to follow video :)
Very quick and easy to follow. This was such a cute project! Made it for our new kitten. I put jingle bells and catnip inside. I did all the stitches super tight, it feels pretty sturdy. Let's see how much furrbaby loves it, and how long it starts intact! Thanks again for the amazing video!
You are one of the only people I've seen so far actually show the difference of the yarn sizes and hold, and with the finished item! Some newbies don't realize that when they use whatever yarn they have on hand, it could make a HUGE difference in size, texture, etc! Thanks for having so many great videos!
I love your tutorials. Your patterns are so fun to make. I made a couple little mice from your tutorial and the are adorable. Thank you so much for brightening up everybody’s day with your wonderful personality and your beautiful patterns. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for taking the time to share your talents and teach all of us crochet. I go to Walmart or hobby lobby to buy yarn and I run in to a lot of people that want to learn to crochet and I tell them TH-cam, Jayda in stitches she’s the best for teaching and for lifting your spirits. You are truly wonderful. Thank you and your wonderful husband for all you do.
ohmygoodness! Thank you so much Kelly, you just made our day! We're so happy to know you're enjoying our show, thank you so much for sharing it with others :)
Hello Jayda, Thank you for all the time you and your husband spend on making these tutorials! You have given me the drive to return to my favorite hobby. I've made many of your goodies. Yesterday's projects were 2 of these mice. They are adorable and I named them Marky and Missy. I live in Arizona, U. S. A. but, I made a scarf and slouch hat! they turned out great! Thanks again! Your New Fan! Cathy D.

Z Will let me tell you I don't have a lot of yarn I bought a lot of yelling I got all the books I got everything i dun like maybe 15 granny blanket but is not making me feel happy no more you see I lost my son a year ago he was just 26 I lost my husband just a few weeks ago and he's been kinda hard for me to get back to push a but it seems like I'm trying to find you again and I don't want to do that I need to get back on it and hopefully I will start and I do enjoy watching all your stuff that you do so I can't wait to see more stuff when you send us to thank you
Connie, I'm so sorry for your losses. I understand that focusing on a craft must be very difficult right now, but I do hope that it can bring you a little peace. I also hope that my videos can bring you a little welcome distraction every so often. Peace be with you.
I think you so much for listening when. Listening but you know texting me back it's kind of hard right now but I don't want to give up I'm going to get back on it I need to learn so much and I just can't get the courage to do it but I'm going to get back on again I like looking at your videos it helps me inspired me to get up again thank you for being my friend and thank you for all your videos and thank you for caring
you look absolutely stunning Jayda! and I have a request for a video; since you use stuffing for a lot of videos, could you make a video on what to use if you don't have stuffing? and by the way, i absolutely adore your enthusiasm in your videos, Thank you for all the time and dedication that you put in your videos! Much Love xoxo
Cailyn's Crotchet Hi Cailyn! That's a great idea! And very timely :) Thank you so much for watching, it's easy to be enthusiastic when there are so many super, crafty people out there who want to make things!!
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️Jayda!!! I love your Chinese lantern lights!!! Thank you for this tutorial I was looking for it take a choice to make and send to a friend's Kitty
Mrs. Markiplier Hi again :) Just remember to pause the video and take your time - it's got a very specific increase, but this is one of those projects that you can stuff and squish into shape! And the ears really make it, so even if your first mousy ends up looking a little funny, just add ears!! LOL Have fun!
Hi Jada! For some reason, I am confused on using stitch markers.....ugh. I know I'm making it harder than it is, but have given up on amigurumi projects because of it. Would it be possible for u to make a simple video, maybe a coaster size circle, and show closely where to place the stitch marker, and once u come around, how to get the count right? That's where I am having probs......I love the way u teach, and know u can help me!! Thank u so much!! I hope to make this mouse!! Squeak squeak!!!! 🎎😊😊
Hi Jayda. I love this pattern. I am making several of these cute little mice as catnip toys to give away to my cat owner friends for Christmas gifts. I am also thinking of selling these and giving proceeds to cat rescues or just giving these mice to cat rescues. 😊
333DFG The beads I used were 'reclaimed' from an old pair of jeans, so I can't attest to their proper size, however, they are approximately 3 mm in diameter. I would recommend using any sized bead that you felt gives your mouse an agreeable eye size :) That little pink mouse on my shoulder has a bobby pin sewn to the bottom of it so I can wear it in my hair (where I usually do) and he was safety pinned to my shoulder for the video :) If you want to put him on a pin, rather than use him as a hair accessory, then I recommend sewing 2 safety pins to him OR you can attach him to a broach pin (which I've seen at craft stores).
Do you have the written pattern for this tutorial? I dont mean to sound rude so i'm sorry if i do. I find it hard to follow along with verbal tutorials because i like pausing the video and doing it in my own pace or i'll forget things
hello Jayda I LOVE your videos, I was wandering, I saw a doll in the background wearing blue and had a white bonnet (top left hand corner) I'm not sure if you've done a video on it before, but if you havent, I would really love if you did!(PS.I'm a begginer)
Hi Lucy! That little doll is from an e-Book we wrote called "Dolls of the World" :) If you're interested in checking it out, you can visit our etsy shop and see it here: www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JaydaInStitches

omg ,it looks easy, but ill think ill pass,i only wanted somethink simple,,but i made the hat you did a pink one with white edgeing i did blue one with purple edgeing,x
Hi Yvonne, if you're new to working small amigurumi or working in the round, you might find this a helpful little challenge :) It's not too difficult - you could also give our Pocket Pets a try if you want something cute and playful, they're easy too: th-cam.com/play/PLU-tvdaf-Fnf7gCgP8WODc9JP1KjXqOFt.html
Struggling like crazy to close this up and getting super frustrated. The stuffing is getting in the way even though I didn't put a lot and I keep pushing it down. Where I started the decreases there are big holes. PLEASE HELP lol
Hi Ashlyn, don't worry about big holes around the decrease area: when you finally fasten off, leave a long tail, thread it up in your yarn needle and then weave that tail back through all those decrease stitches, gently cinching as you go. It will close up the holes, keep that stuffing in and allow you to shape the back end of the mouse as you go 😁 Thank you for watching!
Update: I tried again last night hehe.. I managed to go all the way through and even got to stuff it despite it coming out HORRIBLY hehe, but my cat loved it! I may try again because I wanna get one right!!💙🖤

Fun project! Just finished sewing up my first one; now to add the eyes and nose. Thanks, once again!
Hi Renna, that's great! Thank you for watching :)
I love the idea and have lots of cotton scraps I am just wondering is there a written pattern somewhere?
Hi Jodi, we haven't got this one written up yet, but thank you for the suggestion!
I take it you used 6/0 seed beads? May I ask how did or what did you attach your mouse to in order to wear on your shoulder?
333DFG The beads I used were 'reclaimed' from an old pair of jeans, so I can't attest to their proper size, however, they are approximately 3 mm in diameter. DJ Pong 3 Hi DJ! Have you checked out my channel homepage? I've got tutorials of all sorts, including a whole playlist on just the basics (in case you need a brush up). Most of what I do is pretty easy (and I do try to explain it as best I can) it totally depends on what you want to make! I've got a granny square (seems oddly appropriate...**giggles**), and then there's the head band, utility strap ... my hat pattern is pretty easy (now that would be impressive!!) and there are lots of toys too!
