They should be compensated for the harm, suffering and humiliation they were put through for no reason. In Puerto Rico, there are people still practicing Santeria and we just let them do their rituals. I believe there are some laws that come into effect if caught killing too many animals and leaving their corpses to rot or discarding them in unsanitary conditions that can create health hazards. I have never seen someone go to jail for doing Santeria rituals. Instead I have heard of some people having to pay fines for just out of control smells of animal corpses not properly discarded. If you kill animals for food or ritual practices and you don't do it in a sanitary way also and you leave a decaying smell that bothers your neighbor well expect to pay fines for also health hazards.

In Puerto Rico, there are people still practicing Santeria and we just let them do their rituals. I believe there are some laws that come into effect if caught killing too many animals and leaving their corpses to rot or discarding them in unsanitary conditions that can create health hazards. I have never seen someone go to jail for doing Santeria rituals. Instead I have heard of some people having to pay fines for just out of control smells of animal corpses not properly discarded. If you kill animals for food or ritual practices and you don't do it in a sanitary way also and you leave a decaying smell that bothers your neighbor well expect to pay fines for also health hazards.
In America there are people still practicing Christianity too. We just let them do their rituals.
