I would consider myself a pretty avid listener of metal music and I can say with full confidence that the lead riff is one of the best metal guitar riffs I have ever heard
Well this raises a few questions. Which riff? Songs are composed of numerous riffs shared between the different guitarists. If it's a lead riff, it's obviously played by the lead guitarist. But which riff? The intro riff? Bridge riff? The verse, chorus, pre-chorus? You might infer the point where your original sentiment became confusing.
Also, music and the attributes of a particular piece are entirely subjective to each interpretation. What you think is a brilliant riff, someone else might think it's pretty generic. All relative to taste. If you prefer more rhythmic and progressive strumming patterns but with minor note variation and someone else prefers fast-paced solo work with plenty of sweeps and bends through multiple octaves of note values, you're almost guaranteed to have polar opposite ideas of what is a "sweet riff."

it sounds like Shayley sings first from 1:48 to 1:59 where Austin joins him at 2:00 because the same voice that was singing before starts screaming and it sounds more like Shayley's scream than Austin and the voice that joined him (Austin) was more lower than the one singing before (Shayley) so i believe Shayley is singing the clean vocals except that one little part where Austin joins him
Austin does the cleans and Shayley harmonizes with Austin.
Instead of skipping the epic music just to hear some clean vocals, we can just wait a minute and 48 seconds and listen to this sick song :)

I was with all of you that said Shayley sang in this but after doing my 3 minutes of research I found Austin does clean vocals for this song. See how 3 minutes made me realize I was wrong? you guys should do some research as well, and you guys are right, Austin doesn't do clean vocals, up until 2015 but this indeed is him in this song.

This is pretty good. Very loud sound and very aggresive sounding. Cleans are pretty good! If Austin does the cleans for the next album and it's similar to this I'll be happy.

Went to see these on saturday one of the best nights of my life met the whole band and when it gets to the bit where Austin does the cleans I crowd surfed and he held my hand and put the mic to my mouth and we both screamed it at each others face!The best night of my life by far

it never got announced, but you can go on the Rise channel and look up Austin Carlile Studio updates hes new band was gonna be him and Ashby but Of mice knew what the fans wanted so they asked him to come back and he said only if Ashby comes with and he took over guitar and moved shay to bass and well the rest is history

As far as I know, I heard Austin sings cleans in this. That voice doesn't sound like Shayleys to me and Aaron wasn't part of the band yet when they recorded this album.
