Yeah, but i believe they got it wrong in a way, I'm pretty sure the drawing was done after the murder, not before. Still creepy but it makes sense right? Since within the board game, the more letters you open, the more time passes within the game.
I relate to Tommy when he said, "I'm giving a lot of signals that I won't be helpful today." 🤣

Fun fact: often when strangulation victims have scratch marks on their neck/chest, the scratches tend to come from the victim themselves accidentally injuring themselves while trying to free their neck from the hands of their attackers.

Really, seems unlikely bc they’d be pushing or or defending themselves and using their hands or feet against the attacker
@@danielpleitez-martinez7638 they are using their hands against the attacker. In a state of panic, you're going to do whatever you can to get their hands off. That includes scratching and trying to pry their attackers hands away. Hang victims who try to resist also often have scratch marks on their neck from trying to free themselves from the noose.
@@danielpleitez-martinez7638 and if ya think about it, scratching your attacker is smart, because at least if you die, their DNA will be under your nails!
kimmy did such a great job reading at the end, got chills hearing her read out the confession

The only thing I've noticed, though I haven't finished watching it yet, but they focused on the wrong time in the call logs. They focused on the morning phone call conversations. The 21:11 phone is what they should have focused on.

They're supposedly getting their own studio space in the next year -- so with a lot more room to themselves, this doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

That sounds fun, but it would probably take away the “disturbing” factor of working with realistic evidence and disembodied voices and stuff. Find the killer irl tends to get goofy real quick

In some of my English classes back in high school, we would get to whenever we read something in play form so everyone could be assigned characters. Whoever was in the scene at the time got to stand up in front of the class too so that energy was there. It definitely was fun.

The voicemails on 29:11 are so crucial! The second voicemail could be Robyn spray painting Charlie’s car, the fourth one could be the murder itself and the fifth one could be Robyn carving a word into the tree!

Wait though, when they read the phone log for the veterinary practice, they were looking at 9 in the morning hour, it's in military time. Wasn't the murder at night? Got me hot stressed.

Yeah because if they had read it correctly they would have been able to check that she called her lawyer for about 30 min and then Aura right after and Aura didn't pick up.
There's so many great Hunt a Killer series and I'd love to see the Smosh team do some more. The quality of it is really good and I love the creators.

Hi, first time commenting here so sorry for the awkwardness. I saw your comment about the Alice/Bob code and, being a cipher nerd myself, I can't help but want to contribute a bit to people who are interested. I'll try my best to explain since it's not really my strong suit 😁(and English is not my native language, either.)
So, the Alice and Bob code is a form of public-key cryptography called Diffie-Hellman key exchange, where two people exchanges their keys and while the pother people can see the key, they don't have the full perspective to decipher the code themselves. The idea takes a prime number p (in this case, p = 17) and a primitive root modulo g (in this case, g = 3. I think there's a page on Wikipedia explaining better than me what a primitive root modulo is, so I won't delve deeper than that.)
To generate a secret code, Alice and Bob will choose a random number between 1 and p-1 (we'll call this a for Alice and b for Bob. In the video, a = 7 and b= 15) and calculate A = (g^a mod p) and B = (g^b mod p), respectively (Normally, this will not be revealed to people in public like the video shows. The public will only know A and B). Then, Alice will calculate B^a mod p, and Bob will calculate A^b mod p. This will give them the same number, which is the shared key needed to solve the code. Let's try to do this:
Alice: A = 3^7 mod 17 = 11 and sends 11 to Bob. Bob gets: 11^15 mod 17 = 14
Bob: B = 3^15 mod 17 = 6 and sends 6 to Alice. Alice gets: 6^7 mod 17 = 14.
So the shared key is 14! Now onto the footnote: HvwgkwzzbchvoddsbouowbBwq (I think the cast got a few characters wrong in the video). Once you get 14, shift the footnote 14 letters back and you get: ThiswillnothappenagainNic or "This will not happen again, Nic." So, basically, it's a secret warning from the company to Nic, who is suspected of drug exchange (if I got that right from the video).
Of course, it might be easier to just brute force the cipher. Nevertheless, thought I would share it here for people who are curious like me. Hope that helps! 😄

I think my favorite part is noticing how they, as people who live in a big metro area cannot fathom it taking only taking 10 minutes to get somewhere.

You could say that Gavin was partially responsible for his death because he was so out of it with the drugs and alcohol, it left Charlie basically defenceless, and he might have been able to fight off the murderer if he had been sober!

Please do more of these I can't find other channels that do these types of murder mystery boardgames that is interactive and has so many efforts and props put into it. Love this i hope it turns into a regular thing

I have no idea what site it was, maybe Mystery Party? But, one person leads it so they know the plot, but the rest are given roles and you improv the whole dinner. Now and again the host will give you some kind of clue or additional action and then you slowly start to figure out who did it. I would love to see you all do that with your improv skills!

This is how I'd the play, so it was fun to pretend we were playing together; plus this group vibe and bangin' background track were pretty calming to my anxiety (despite the sometimes suspenseful rhythm and their convo being about fake murder lol)
Side note: those voicemails sent a bit of a chill down my spine- I'm with ya, Kimmy 😖
