    Love your determination and persistence and smiling in the face of obstacles like the downpour of rain. That is no easy alternator installation and it was a great idea to test for continuity. And real attention to detail to taping up the BOSCH label to protect it along with protecting the exposed cable with liquid insulation. Agree about the wheels too. That engine sounds awesome especially since the mileage is so high. Great progress dude, well done!

    I bought a 2001 e320 3 years ago and shortly after I bought it it started going into limp mode. I would shut it off and restart it and it would then go quite a while before doing it again. It ended up being the conductor plate in the transmission.
    I would say there is something wrong with your fuel system or something like that if it does not go out of limp mode when you shut the engine off or disconnect the battery.
    I'm glad my alternator is on top because I had to take it in and out several times before I finally got it fixed. It is a Valeo, but I don't know if a Bosch will fit and plug in. They are cheaper new.

      Conductor plates are a common issue on W210. In my case it’s something either with the cluster or electronic throttle bodies. There’s nothing wrong with the trans that I can see at the moment since the car can only Rev up to 1500RPM

    Change the fuel filter and differential fluid. Nobody ever does. I will follow you, cant wait to see this beauty under your care.

    The E32 is a great car I had a 740i and a 750il never had problems with them as I always drove them and they were amazing.i hope this one gets the love it deserves great video love the channel 👍🇦🇺

    Bro I got a 90 750il and it’s so nice it has no body rust and barely underneath for being up in Wisconsin/Minnesota for how ever long and I can’t wait to get it to car shows

    Check both of your camshaft position Sensors. I just bought a 91 750il for $900 do to being on limp mode. One of the cam sensors had an open circuit I replaced both and that solved my issue

      I’ll have to check that. My main problem is that the EML light doesn’t come on at all. And that’s why it’s in limp mode

      @@VITOSGARAGE my eml light wasn't coming on either so the first thing I did I checked the cluster opened it and notice the previous owner had done the soldering on it. That was not the issue so I closed it and put it back in the car, next I checked the battery I had to replace it cause it had low voltage and I heard these cars hate low voltage and can send your car into limo mode. Next was the camshaft sensors one was bad but since I was already in there I just replaced both and that solved my issue

      So what exactly brought your EML light back? The battery?
      I already checked the cluster’s circuit board and it’s good. It has continuity. I even got a wiring schematic for it and checked it all. I just need to check for 12V coming to 2 of the cluster pins. Maybe I’m missing a feed

      @@VITOSGARAGE I replaced the battery but it was still on limp mode. That's when I decided to check the cam sensors and that was my issue. Checked it with my multimeter and one had an open circuit

    I just started having problems with my 1990 750il after the battery died. The doors locked and the windows came up and the sunroof opened and the manual process to open the doors is not working. Luckily one of the back door locks was broken so I can get in but not open any of the doors or close the sunroof. Could this be a control board problem? Also when this happens the driver side seat comes all the way up and locks as well.

      Seems like your general module could be having issues. Do you still have these issues? It could be because the battery was dead and the module is confused. Try driving it and give the car some exercise. And you need to fix your battery drain. You definitely have a parasitic battery drain

    When my gas cap is loose the check engine lite comes on. I have a 1988 735i E32

    I'd send TH-camr M539 restorations a message and ask him what he thinks about the low response from the accelerator is I know he specializes in BMWs he got 2 E32 750i's at the moment and might be able to help you

      @@VITOSGARAGE if I were you when you get a chance flush that liquid out and use Pentosin 11. I think that is what written on your cap. Don't mix Pentosin 7.1 with Pentosin 11 it was a recommendation that bmw gave when they upgraded to 11

      @@VITOSGARAGE I think that was a reference to TH-camr M539 who has a BMW restoration channel. He has restored a number of classic BMW's including e32 and e38 7-series, e46 3-series, a number of e31 8 series and a couple of e39 5-series M5s.
