Shortly after the commercial came out, we travelled through Etihad from Abu Dhabi to the United States. After asking where the prayer room was, the flight attendant simply pointed to the floor in front of the bathrooms near the back of the plane. There were no prayer mats either- we resorted to using the blankets provided.
To be fair, that is a space similar to that shown here, directly adjacent to one of the toilets on the aircraft. The prayer mat should have been available though.

Malaysia Airlines has a prayer room installed in their A380's and B747-400(retired). About B737-800, A330-300 and A350-900 is unknown. Maybe they already have it installed?
Infinite Tuber Why should AirAsia have one? Malaysia Airlines maybe since its the national airlines of Malaysia but AirAsia is a International secular airline. A great portion of their passengers aren’t Muslims/Malays, so they shouldn’t have Muslim prayer room. And if they do, then they should at least have a Buddhist meditation room and a Chinese shrine.

PIA is no longer the airline it once was but it's nice thar flight attendances don't mind prayer taking place at cursing altitude. It's helpful when the plane is already facing east.
Peter i Planes that they can afford to manage and operate. 11 years is nothing and American and Arabian airlines do operate aircraft from the 90s still! Service might be bad. Safety record is pretty good tho. Arguably more important. So, I wouldn't say it's the world's worst ;)

Saudia has a better praying area, why is it so hard for Emirates & Etihad who both have A380 to make a better praying area. I flew once with the Emirates and it was time for prayer, I asked the flight attendant if I could pray near the emergency door (which has a plenty of room) and he refused. I'm just being reasonable!!!!

How is this possible that one can pray namaz in one direction in an airplane the airplane turns so the qibla location will also turn so the directions are not accurate
Hassan Zia the Direction after the shalah begin is Not Necesary anymore... Just like Prophet when He pray On the Camel while in safar, Its Qiyass and no Ulama Against it...

Saudia’s older wide body fleet had a special designated space for prayers with the safety in mind. This is basically the aircraft door.. it must never be occupied by passengers. So thats a NO NO!
You can’t open the door mid flight anyway so i dont see a problem here and even if a passenger tries to tamper with door the flight attendants will immediately come to know about the situation
