I'm so over people having the nerve to criticize celebrities for not being 100% perfect in their eyes. Deng Wei caught my attention in the drama Miss The Dragon. I had also commented that I wanted to see him be in more male lead roles and am glad his popularity has increased. And yes...with popularity comes all the negative sides and people who want to drag him down or cause scandals. I only wish him the best!

good grief .. nobody is perfect and the way these chinese actors work for their management it is quite astonishing… from what i’ve seen on screen from this actor deng wei he is a very quiet style calm actor and very charismatic to watch he’s very good with facial expressions as well .. i first saw him in miss the dragon he was extremely elegant and graceful to watch in one of his fight scenes .. these chinese actors should be given a little bit of breathing space at times ..being an older person and a big fan of the chinese martial arts dramas especially the costume ones he is one of my favorite type of actors ..in lost you forever he is quite wonderful to watch along side yang zi they are perfectly matched …cannot wait for season 2 of that drama ..

I had first seen this actor in Miss the Dragon. And I LOVED his portrayal of that character. His ability to change expressions from indifference to emotional in an instant is pure talent..and his JOB. His job is to entertain..and his acting ability shows that he does his job well. Yes, he will be more in the limelight. Yes, he will be criticized even more due to his surge in popularity. But never forget that EVERYONE has flaws!! He is just as human as the rest of us. Have loved Deng Wei since Lord of the Pavillion. Then I saw the Livestream with him and "Orchid" and the whole time she called him Lord and he called her Orchid and he endeared himself to me even more. So yes there will be growing pains when a person achieves popularity, it takes a big person to see and fix their mistakes and not get so big and all mighty. I would like to believe that he will adapt and achieve greater success while remaining grounded. Fans will love him even more. I saw a live stream he did for Miss the Dragon, and you can see that he's a pretty fun guy as long as he's comfortable, but he definitely wasn't used to all the fawning and people rushing at him. I expect that as he gets more experienced with the crowds and the fans he'll learn to relax [or at least to fake it].

Deng wei not wanting to do the audition (as yuzheng would claim) reminds me of Wang hedi in the show where he had to wear a mask in the first couple of episodes. As you can see, they were young at that time so they obviously have big expectation and that there is a reason to every action so in Deng wei's case it lacks context so you guys shouldn't blindly hate on Deng Wei based on one person's perspective of him.

Deng Wei is new to me in dramaland. I'm really enjoying his character in Lost You Forever as it is so endearing and different from all the others. I will be looking for his past and future work. I hate gossip about actor's and tend to ignore it in my assessment of their work. In Deng Wei's case I have a feeling he is shy in public appearances, not arrogant. As to his sexuality, the only thing important is that he comes across as sexy on screen.

He is just so cute when he smiles! Which took a zillion episodes before we got to see in Miss the Dragon. Being stoic to Qingqing’s perky cute elf was so good. And he improved so much in “ Til the end of the Moon”. I loved him in that. He did 3 characters plus one with a demon-like possession. And his fights with Luo Yunxi are fabulous. I have to wait to watch the latest as I am deep in a project but I know I will love him in it. I rewatch these and “Love Between a Fairy and Demon” over and over.

You are not getting it. In China, stars are role models and supposed to uphold a good image and be an inspiration to all. That has nothing to do with the average commoner that you may have seen in your life. Unlike the west, to be a star, they have a responsibility with their conduct because of the higher wage they get. I've never even heard of him until I looked at MDL and saw the drama's he was a screenwriter for. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I ended up laughing so hard while reading them, because I've dropped 5 of his dramas out of sheer boredom & loss of interest. YET... he has the audacity to talk about putting on airs. IF this man think he is all that & a bag of chips ... he's definitely not realizing ... he's among the very STALE. Now, unless he can get his critical azz up on screen and do 100% better... than and only then can I respect him as a critic... that goes for anyone who LOVE to be a wannabe CRITIC & yet have NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! YES... I've had experience on stage in front of a large audience... the constant rehearsals & reading of scripts. trying to make each expression perfection ... is not an easy task. Not to mention ... how the director will change certain scene due to it not having the right impact. Then having to redo everything with a change of script. It's easier for a scriptwriter to criticize... but that's all he can do is write... but to eat his words and get up on stage & prove his point will be a whole different story. I watched ***Lost You Forever*** half way through and put it on hold. What I viewed, this young actor Deng Wei is definitely someone who can hold his own. Who give two hoots if he smokes.... although he should have found a place to put his cigarette out without littering. Have loved Deng Wei since Lord of the Pavillion. Then I saw the Livestream with him and "Orchid" and the whole time she called him Lord and he called her Orchid and he endeared himself to me even more. So yes there will be growing pains when a person achieves popularity, it takes a big person to see and fix their mistakes and not get so big and all mighty. Deng wei not wanting to do the audition (as yuzheng would claim) reminds me of Wang hedi in the show where he had to wear a mask in the first couple of episodes. As you can see, they were young at that time so they obviously have big expectation and that there is a reason to every action so in Deng wei's case it lacks context so you guys shouldn't blindly hate on Deng Wei based on one person's perspective of him.
He caught my attention in “Till the End of the Moon”. I really want to see more of his work and more happy endings for his characters. No one is 100% perfect and the public shouldnt just assume they can judge on small actions. He could have just not wanted to be in a certain drama, actors are allowed to deny a role they dont want. Deng Wei is new to me in dramaland. I'm really enjoying his character in Lost You Forever as it is so endearing and different from all the others. I will be looking for his past and future work. I hate gossip about actor's and tend to ignore it in my assessment of their work. In Deng Wei's case I have a feeling he is shy in public appearances, not arrogant. As to his sexuality, the only thing important is that he comes across as sexy on screen.

I have to wait to watch the latest as I am deep in a project but I know I will love him in it. I rewatch these and “Love Between a Fairy and Demon” over and over.

You are not getting it. In China, stars are role models and supposed to uphold a good image and be an inspiration to all. That has nothing to do with the average commoner that you may have seen in your life. Unlike the west, to be a star, they have a responsibility with their conduct because of the higher wage they get. Seems like a whole lot of nothing so far. The real test will be how he acts now that he actually has some fame. If he's arrogant and not kind to fans, it will be apparent soon enough. OTOH, if all of this is nothing but smoke, and he's courteous and kind, then that, too will be apparent. Also, IDK why people expect celebrities to always 100% meet their expectations. Everyone has bad days. Plenty of times when American celebrities who are normally good sports with their fans have a day when they act in what might be perceived as a rude manner...but one instance can just as easily be because of something else entirely. You never know what is happening in people's lives. Maybe their beloved pet just passed, or they got really bad news about a loved one, or experienced a break up. Are celebrities not allowed to have emotions and be regular people?
Anyway, I loved Dei Weng's character in Till The End of the Moon. I thought his acting was spot on in that. I haven't watched Lost You Forever yet, but I've seen some trailers and clips, and I have no complaints from what I've seen of him there, either. People sure do love to judge others.

I've never even heard of him until I looked at MDL and saw the drama's he was a screenwriter for. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I ended up laughing so hard while reading them, because I've dropped 5 of his dramas out of sheer boredom & loss of interest. YET... he has the audacity to talk about putting on airs. IF this man think he is all that & a bag of chips ... he's definitely not realizing ... he's among the very STALE.
Now, unless he can get his critical azz up on screen and do 100% better... than and only then can I respect him as a critic... that goes for anyone who LOVE to be a wannabe CRITIC & yet have NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! YES... I've had experience on stage in front of a large audience... the constant rehearsals & reading of scripts. trying to make each expression perfection ... is not an easy task. I watched ***Lost You Forever*** half way through and put it on hold. What I viewed, this young actor Deng Wei is definitely someone who can hold his own. Who give two hoots if he smokes.... although he should have found a place to put his cigarette out without littering. Here where I live... all over downtown etc... you'll find ashtrays and garbage bins. Which shows the respect we have for clean environment.
Anyway... back to the subject. Deng Wei knows how to pull a viewer into his character ... unfortunately, I can't say the rest for the other 2 ML. One is biting and sucking the blood of the fl ... which can be nauseating to the point & if that's all the connection they have between the two of them ... well NOT IMPRESSED ...Hence... I'll fast forward. The other ML (aka cousin or brother or whatever he is) doesn't really show a solid connection, other than friendship... and even then it's iffy. HOWEVER... MY OBSERVATION AND PERSONAL OPINION.
