I’ve been playing a similar deck for a few days. It’s very consistent. Weezing is just amazing, it can be used in 90% of the decks and counters one of the current meta decks. I have no idea why it’s so rare to find alakazam players, a non-ex pkm that can 1 shot basically any sweeper in this game.

Super happy to see this deck featured on a TH-cam channel! I'm sure I'm not the first person to build this deck but I built it a little while back after playing weezing/dragonite and having a bad lose streak so started looking for other cards to pair weezing with and saw the potential in big boi 'Zam considering I was running into lots of pika, Mewtwo, Zard, and venusaur decks. So I built it and have been using it on and off even up to today. Keep doing your thang GODZLYY!🤙🏽🔥
I cant complain as i have opened straight fire from my packs, but i have wanted to make a starmie or moltres deck since release and i havent opened even 1 of those yet😂
Weezing is an early to mid game mostly played pokemon in this deck. Early to mid game 110hp is pretty good. Alakazam is late game, and compared to most of the other late game pokemon his hp is lower. I get what you mean, but the statement does make sense.
Can't a mewtwo not just sit on 2 energy, preventing the onetap and then as soon as alakhazam gets played throw 2 energy on it and oneshot it? Feel like throwing a third energy on mewtwo with alakhazam on the bench on 2 energy is quite troll
Legit VSed this deck earlier today and was able to steam roll it with mewtwo because they took to build up their board. Best they did was get out a weezing before I could hit it with the 150 attack
The problem with this deck is not worrying about energy for kazam but for weezing. I have had plenty of games where ive gone like 3 or 4 turns with just psychic energy. And no dark to put on my koffing/weezing to apply pressure for my opponent. But when you get a good hand and evergy, this deck works well. But from the ammount of it played. Its definitely not consistent enough imo. Or i just have bad luck
I’m not even going to fib bro, ive done hundreds of matches and i main Alakazam decks. Drop the red card for either meowth or farfetchd. Edit: the guy you mentioned who placed tourney didn’t create this deck, some guy in the first tourney made it, streamed it.
Also 12:40 no using Weezing would not have lost you the game. He would kill it get match point 2. You would still go in and revenge kill with the Alakazam and win the match
Once a good mewtwo player sees an abra he will make sure to discard properly and always end on 2 energy so that he takes 120 max and always wins on exchange. Sure you can solo with weezing sometimes but only with dark energy going first the chip is not always relevant I played this in a tournament since its my favorite deck it doesn't do as well as on ladder though especially now that they run frontlines

Honestly, if nothing else, we really just need Stage 1 and 2 searchers just to allow decks running them to not have to rely on Weezing for survival
There's actually a card in physical TCG called tm Evolution
@mnf2091 Yeah, physical has a lot of ways to fetch specific mons and their evos. They just gotta port some of it into Pocket
The only benefit to going first is if your stage 1 Pokémon has a 1 cost energy attack otherwise maybe an extra support card to start idk tbh
I run this but I put one copy of meowth in there to card draw since it’s so important. Even one extra card can help

I saw someone using this exact same Alakazam deck, and I beat them with Aggro Bisharp and Pidgeot deck 😊 it was a really fun matchup.

This deck needs too much to go your way to win. Between not drawing what I need and getting sabrinaed...I'm 1-4 so far.

I think it's luck, cuz I've used this deck using only psychic energy (on purpose) and I still get more wins than losses🤷🏽♂️
The whole point of weezing is to stall and be annoying anyways. That’s why some decks use weezing without dark energy.
