    Up until the 6 minute mark, I agreed with pretty much everything you said. I'm sorry but it's definitely not okay to ask someone if they have "preserved their virginity". I can understand why somebody (especially a man) might want to know this. However, as far as I understand from listening to Shaikh Faraz and other scholars, it is haram to ask about someone'e past sins. A person may have committed a major sin in the past, such as drinking alcohol or falling into zina, but they have repented and are no longer involved in the sin. In this case, the person is under no obligation to reveal their past sins and they can in fact lie about it. However, a person can ask whether a prospective spouse is CURRENTLY engaged in major sins, as this could have a profound impact on the marriage. Wallahu 'alam.

      It’s true that as a Muslim you shouldn’t reveal your past sins. However, if you’re not a virgin you must either let the other person know or leave them (if they’re virgin) to marry another virgin because every virgin deserves a virgin.
