    • @warrenwhite9085
      @warrenwhite9085 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      OJ owed his freedom to his defense lawyer Johnnie Cochran, who got the venue moved from Santa Barbara to downtown LA where the jury consisted of 8 blacks, 2 Hispanics, 1 half-Caucasian, half Native American, and 1 Caucasian female. The defense agreed out of a belief that their case was so strong no jurist would be stupid enough to be swayed by the defense.

      I was 13 or so when OJ got arrested, and I kinda remember the Bronco chase on the highway, and very little about the trial even though it was televised. Mostly what I remember was the late night scene exploding with OJ related content. Sketch shows and talk shows and everybody else had their own little take on how funny the media frenzy was. Except the Simpsons.
      The Simpsons often took aim at American life but only in generalities. Never anything specific, like the Nicole Brown murder. That would have been tasteless for them.

    Everyone was talking about this case from June 12 1994-October 5 1995 That's how long this lasted and lets not forget Rodney King was also still fresh in ppl's minds and then OJ Simpson was a prime suspect in a double murder and everyone wanted to know what was going down and that white bronco case I was in LA when it happened. Everyone was watching the NBA basketball and then it was OJ Simpson with a gun to his head saying he was going to kill himself. People just couldn't let this go. OJ was on every cover new story every magazine every one was talking about it*** The whole jury who was on that case wanted off and it lasted a whole year. One of the jurors ended up in a state hospital b/c of this trail. It was all about OJ & Nicole and Ronald Goldman was the forgotten victim. I felt for the Goldman's I did Fred Goldman was basket case thru out that whole court case and LA was going to explode if OJ was found guilty*** The LA riots would be even worse and everyone was holding their breath on October 5 1995. I hour the jury said NOT GUILTY**** UNBELIEVABLE then 2008 came Casey Anthony and we all know she got off and she is living her beautiful life. She and OJ should hook up

    Nicole was slit from ear to ear literally and at least half way from front to back.
    I can't believe they are available for the public to see.
    Ron Goldman was just about as bad too.
    If I was part of the Brown family or the Goldman family I wouldn't be too happy that Saturday Night Live was making a joke about this, at all.
    I can't believe they actually did it.

    • @nattyps3160
      @nattyps3160 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In the actual courtroom their were lots of jokes going on ! The brown & Goldman families were there everyday & to hear the lighthearted joking actually during a double murder trial where 2 people were slaughtered had to be so sickening for those poor people. Even during Kato 's testimony their were a few places of big laughs. Ugh. I guess people thought they needed levity but that's only b/c that fool ito let the trial go 11 months !! The avg murder trial of a nobody goes 2 weeks tops. Ito allowed a separate satellite trial about Mark furhman. I get it he was a racist but one thing someone pointed out to me where I never doubted again all that bs about even furhman planting the second glove At ojs was at that time furhman & all the other detectives didn't know at the time if oj had a rock solid alibi or not. How could they ? Why would anyone plant a glove when oj for all they knew could have been out of the country or state for days or weeks. The calif penal code says any person cop forensic person etc that plants evidence in a capital murder case which this was as they were seeking the death penalty when calif still had the death penalty that person or persons would receive the death penalty themselves ! So why would furhman Lange or vanatter risk not only their job pension but their own lives just to frame oj Simpson. A former pro football player who did some sportscasting at times for the bills or cover things for NBC? Cochrane we know compared furhman to Hitler but vanatter he also accused of sprinkling ojs blood at his house he was one of the detectives kissing ojs butt in the interrogation. Also something I didn't know was Marvia Clark said a couple years ago that the police hated the d.a. office b/c they desperately had wanted to nail Micheal Jackson the year b4 the murders for abusing that kid who's dad eventually took a pay off. The d.a at the insistence of the Santa Barbara police a county in Los Angeles even convened a grand jury & found they had zero evidence that Jackson abused the child at that time & didn't charge him so the lapd as a whole had serious issues w/ the d.a. for not choosing to charge Jackson. So it's crazy to think that literally a hundred plus people all engaged in a conspiracy w/ the district attorneys office was ridiculous. Like the criminalist who was head of collecting forensics was one of the people on the stand that was accused of planting evidence. It's despicable. Why would fung who literally just met all these detectives conspire to frame this man. It makes zero sense. On top of it the crimes were committed in Santa Monica so why was the trial held in downtown Los Angeles? Obviously the d.a office was so terrified of riots as Rodney kings trial of the 4 cops that beat him on tape were acquitted b/c the trial was where the beatings occurred in Simi Valley. Simi Valley is where those cops live & is " Copland " 80% of lapd live there so the jury in that case was biased that I agree w/ b/c every person on that jury was so pro cop & was either friends w/ or relayed to or was neighbors w/ a cop. So the riots happened in l.a. which was so sad. Why destroy ur own neighborhood. Go to Simi Valley & burn it down if u must riot. That's wo people should have been furious w/ instead they burn down where they all lived. It's so sad. All it did was now make it so a rich famous guy who never cared or gave back to the black community walked. Marcia clark also said she knew & the d.a.s office knew the best they couod hope for was a hung jury. Then they'd only get one more crack at another trial & again get a hung jury. Then oj would have walked anyway. So it was a no win situation. At that time in that area no way was any jury gonna convict oj & risk another riot. To me the saddest thing was seeing all these black people cheering. Like it's not a football game. Either way u slice it ( no pun intended ) 2 people were brutally murdered. Their was nothing to celebrate & oj of all people was no civil rights figure. The guy ran from the black community. He dumped his black wife pre fame for 18 year old blonde Nicole. He only dated white models. Most of his friends were white. I get that black people were horribly oppressed but it was obvious this was payback. It was not about Ron & Nicole losing their lives so young & it wasn't about oj either. It was sadly black people vs the lapd. That's the tragedy. I hope oj getting off changed things. Looking at l.a in general no matter what yr color religion etc is its a wasteland. Very sad looking at Los Angeles on the news.
