I like your leg construction. The side, front and back rails are supported by the leg and the screws/bolts simply hold everything in place. Too many videos just have the rails bolted or screwed on. Good job.
Awesome build ... thanks for sharing!!
Good job. Thanks for the video.
I'm doing a minimal materials version with a 2x4 box frame, and just installing the slats on top...turned out great, strong enough for a couple or a heavy individual...
Thanks! I was looking at that centre rail wondering if it was overkill on a twin bed - I know it's worth including for wider beds, but then you'd also do something sturdier with how the rail mounts to the frame - a centre leg is common, and a joist hanger offers substantially more support than the 3 screws at each end in the video. Given the span of a twin bed, and given it's built for one, seems entirely over the top to include a centre rail - the beds I'm used to seeing that kind of thing on are usually the equivalent of 2 twin mattresses side by side!
Wow that looks sturdy. I don't have all those tools unfortunately. I don't do enough wood working to justify a planer. Great video.
Thanks! You really don’t need a planer for this project. Yes, it makes the pieces fit together better and look cleaner.. but with some good sanding, you could get a very similar result. You could do this entire project with a circular saw, a drill, and a sander. Happy building!
Nice work 👍
Excelente Trabajo, saludos desde Colombia.
Thank you!
I wish he listed the wood materials/dimensions he used ....
Looks good!
thanks 🙏
If you were going to make this six seperate platforms that you places side by side (to have a sort of "Jenga" bedframe that's easier to move) would you change anything other than the lengths of the peices? For example would you downgrade to 2x2 and 2x4 or keep with 2x4 and 2x6 for the sides?
The center support rail needs blocking underneath, being held up just by the sheer strength of screws isn’t quite enough.
Yeah. And the blocks they are screwed into are simply glued onto the frame. So essentially that Center rail is supported by glue. Other than that the rest of it was very solid.
That’s a really good point. If this were for a larger bed-frame, I 100% agree. A queen or king would definitely need some under support. Given the shear number of 2x4s used, this thing didn’t need the central rail. If I were to do this again on a larger bed, I would correct the central rail joinery. Thanks for watching!
Correct. You get your 400lb baby doll on it and it turns into toothpicks.
Dang that things built like a tank! Nice job 👍
Many tanks!
do you have any measurements or specs for this?
man!!!!!the mother of all beds........it will stand the big one ....and the small one good job buddy!!!!
Thank you!
Mechanical expert.😀
Agradezco tu respuestas. Bendiciones desde El Paso, TX tu amigo, José.
are there plans for this for sale or download?
Good.. thanks bro
Thanks for watching!
Super, super
Works. Good
Thanks!
Cama linda bem feita .Queria tanto uma pra mim !!!! Kkkk
make a super simple rectangle frame with no slats just a plank of plywood on top with 6" legs i would love that cause i do not own all those tools
Looks very strong
Gostei 👏
Thanks!
Cool
Good Cat, Good Cat .... better grab that bed now before the dog gets it!
Looks nice but looks to be stiff as a rock. The 1x's of most provide some more comfort. Cool ideas in there tho
15:00 the cat heard all the mice talking in the house and came to get them.
About glue the posts to the railing? Aso why not screw the slots on both ends, instead of spacers, save time and also make the frame much solid.
Definitely some great points and something to consider
Center support is overkill. Only needed if this was a queen or king size bed.
100% agree with this
morning maam /sir,gosto kung mag order nang portable ticknes plainer kung pwede
kumusta amigo
👍
Why not use some osb with large holes in it for airflow?
Also a great option. Especially now with the price of lumber
кровать мне кажется сильно высокая а ещё с учётом матраса то вообще ещё 20см,и будет стол)))
Looks really good but would have liked to know sizes and lengths and types of lumber you decided on. I watch for the ideas and to learn but with nothing to say hurts my enthusiasm not all of us are carpenter's but nice job
Appreciate the feedback! In my newer videos, I try to be thorough with explaining the process.
are there plans to follow?

Watch your fingers man!
I was too distracted watching the blade!
Now do that over for someone that doesn't have all the fancy machinery.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
çok güzel yaptın. birde başlık yapaydın tadından yenmezdi:)))
Thanks!
Bed seems too high and mattress can slide off
Built to customer specs
Parvez Aslam good thanks so much love u miss you so much love u 🇵🇰 very good thanks thanks for
the only thing I liked is that the bed legs are the ones supporting the weight but other than that too much work with those little wood separating pieces, and using only glue to keep them attached. is a no no for me. I'll take what it helps me to build my bed , thanks for the video and bed legs idea..
Glue is stronger than the wood fibers. Sounds odd, I know, but it’s true glad you found something you liked
not talking we guess??
На такой кровати, пожалуй, и слона можно спать уложить без последствий.
Nice video of a bed build.
Sadly, no BOM, no cut list, no plans.
So it’s very difficult to replicate.
And I really liked the simplicity. Sad.
I’m working on learning some software to create all the plans
No plans or commentary, so we have no idea what wood and what dimensions of the wood that you used, A cutting list would be handy so we could translate it to what is going on in the vid - thanks
Legs are too high. There are no stoppers or mattress locks.
The bed's gonna rock like hell when some "life" starts on it.
But good work anyway.
Leg aren't too hight if you want to use it for storage, you dont need mattress lock, i have a frane without any and the mattress isn't moving
I don't understand why someone would want to have some "life" on a twin bed. 😂😂
This design doesn't make any sense... the mattress should be inset into the frame at least a couple of inches. All you did here was build a table that you can put a mattress on.
Multipurpose. You should see my toilet/computer desk setup.
You should see my refrigerator / book shelf setup.
Parvez Aslam good thanks so much love u 🇵🇰 very good thanks thanks 🤔 thanks 🤔 thanks 🤔 thanks
