Oh believe me I tried it! The LED approach made sense for this. Will make a video one day of the saga that was making this simple module haha. I do have a related genuine EL project up my sleeve don’t worry ;)

It would be cool though wouldn't it... a proper EL DSKY flashing away in the middle of your modular for "no apparent reason".
Doing a music video with a slow pan over all the modular spaghetti und blinkenlichts and then, suddenly, there's a 1201 alarm in the middle of it all. That would be the nerdiest music video ever.
