I had a hard time getting this video up on the channel, so I had to do some tricks of the trade to get this one up, but that one intro just wouldn't play nicely. It stinks that one couldn't make it into the video, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. The FULL UNEDITED version can be found on my Patreon, though, and that includes the missing song. As someone who's watched all of the Pokémon anime (Almost all of it as a kid growing up) Pokemon XYZ anime is definitively the peak in quality. If I eved had to re-watch a full Pokémon anime series it would have to be that one. Putting nostalgia aside, XYZ quality wise is the best.

And the Aim to Be a Pokèmon Master opening..basically for Ash's last 11 episodes they brought back another remix of the original theme using different clips from all the seasons.
The thing with Brock was that he left for the Orange Islands because he fell for Professor Ivy, and Tracey joined up in his place. He came back for Johto and stuck around through Sinnoh
My personal favorite series of all the shows is xy/xyz! The intros are awesome, and the show really feels like Ash grew up to be at least a teen, which I appreciate. And Serena (the brunette girl in the openings) is definitely on of, if not my favorite character in the franchise! And the other two in the openings (Bonnie and Clemont) are awesome characters to travel with Ash. Its overall just a great way to continue the story of Ash! Also it totally gave us one of the most iconic scenes in Pokemon history (if you know, you know) 😂
I liked all of them except black and white. Black and white was a poorly executed reboot of the anime imo. The black and white video games were great tho
8:25 that character is named Hunter J a completely original Pokemon character she was never in the games and she was a fucking badass villain as her name says she was a Pokemon hunter who would kidnap Pokemon, imprison as fucking statues, and sell them off....she also fucking dies her aircraft crashes down into a body a water with her in it and we NEVER see or hear a word about her for the rest of the DP series
So in my personal head canon Ash is 10 for the first few generations, Then is 11 for Unova and Kalos 12 throughout Alola And 13 at the beginning of journeys but has turned 14 at the end
I recommend you also check out all the Pokémon mini series like Pokémon Origins, Generations, Evolutions, Twilight Wings, Hisuian Snow, and Paldean Winds. Unlike the main series they actually tell stories from the games and they have beautiful animation
I think I watched some of Origins and loved that it was based on Red, iirc. I'll definitely revisit it at some point because I don't remember much from it, and idk if I even made it past e1.

@@ReactZones yeah those are some of my favourite legendaries especially since it really split the difference of some legendaries being godly entities as well. God is called Arceus, Lucifer is Giratina, time incarnate is Dialgia (the blue quadruped) and space incarnate is Palkia (white and purple biped with wings)
Several of the regions have multiple OPs yes. Like Johto. The second OP is, I think for the Orange Islands arc, which is, sort of in between Kanto and Johto arcs. And Brock did leave briefly for the end of Kanto and the Orange Islands and was replaced by Tracey, but came back for Johto through to Sinnoh. I like the Advanced Challenge OP. I wish there was a full length version of the song. I think it's one of my favourites. The 'coins' shown in the last Gen 3 OP are Frontier Symbols, not badges. The gen 3 games (Emerald at least) and the anime introduced something called the Battle Frontier, and if you beat the 'Boss' (the Frontier Brains) of each Frontier Facility you would get a symbol to prove you won. Which is what Ash was doing for that arc, after having deal with the Gyms/League from Hoenn. 'Isn't Treeko from gen 3' it is, but that wasn't Treeko, that was Snivy. Treeko is a gecko while Snivy is, well a snake. I think Black and White and Sinnoh are the only seasons I never actually finished fully. Dunno why mind you, I just kinda, didn't. XY/XYZ are dope seasons but the Sun and Moon/Alola series is my big favourite. It's SO good. The animation may have changed but it is GREAT. They're so expressive and the battles are so clean and you can tell the animators having a blast with it. People really need to give it a try instead of just dismissing it b/c of the art. The Journeys art style is somewhere between the new Alola one and the older style. I guess trying to find a middle ground between them.
Id love for you to reacr to the japanese versions. They are all full 1:30 minute standard legnth anime openings and not just the 40 second ones that the english versions end up becoming
6:46 those were the Battle Frontier Medals gifted by the Frontier, I only played through the Battle Frontier once (Heartgold and Soulsilver) and I haven't watched the Anime season yet (Bing watching the whole show on Episode 69 of Season 1) I only know by research on Bulbapedia what they're called.
Watch the Japanese version, though they are not that great imo for the first 5 seasons but they ramp it up alot in s6 and beyond. Horizons also has 2 massive banger and by far my 2 favorite pokemon openings
Unbeatable and Stand Up (Battle Cry) are still two of the best themes ever. The energy is incredible and so much motivation comes from it😊❤Goosebumps every single time.
Loved the vid bro I’d suggest checking out the Japanese openings, they are longer and the visuals are more eye catching (if you do make sure to include the second horizons opening, it’s animation is so clean definitely worth a look) ^^
Pokemon Was No Longer Under 4Kids After Advanced Battle And Fired All The Original Cast Members And Replaced Them With The Pokemon Company In Battle Frontier.
10:59 nope, it's actually different songs but the same singers. The video you watched just strung the openings together in a way that made them seem like they're using the same song. There are full versions of all the openings up to the XY generation, you can take a listen if you want. The full versions of the Black and White series openings are my favorite alongside the Advanced generation openings 🔥💕
Pokemon Brock was replaced by Tracey during the Orange Islands not Johto but Brock was much more popular than Tracey so he came back in Johto and stayed until Black and White replaced him with Cilan Cilan wasn't as good as Brock but Clemont in xy/z was a very interesting charecter
Tracey was created because the creators assumed Brock could be seen as a racist stereotype in the west, but when that didn't turn out to be the case, they hastily brought him back and shoved Tracey into the background.
Brock is a character who falls in love with any woman not younger than him. but he doesn't touch boobs or do any other pervert thingy. he knows his limits and he knows when to give up, for example in the darkrai movie

Honestly, my favourite series was diamond and pearl. Still has this OG vibe (first 4 gens had it), story is peak, animation is like early 2000s (which i love), the best ash's rival, Brock is still there. Dawn was great and she had many great episodes. Team rocket had some really cool episodes. It has to many episodes though, in total it gives about 180-190 I belive. For one region And man... Chimchar arc. If you know, you know.

just gonna say before you have started reacting to the openings that i have memories of me watching the anime but im curious of which ones i will recognise. i was never the biggest fan of the games but i was a big fan of the show as a kid so this will be interesting. will update on which ones i recognise just because why not. edit: i recognise some of the first ones. dang i didnt realise i watched the first ones but my memories are sorta coming back just thinking about it. well that was cool bringing some old memories back.

9:13 that's the Creation Trio. The one in the centre is the God of all Pokemons. His name is Arceus. The rest of them are: Dialga (right; creator of Time), Palkia (left; creator of Space) and Giratina (top; creator of Anti-Matter). All of them usually live in their own separate dimension

Yes! The Pokémon movie was so awesome. And I loved the series through the Orange Islands, but then I lost interest. I still watch the old old episodes sometimes though!
I remember when I was in first grade, came back from school. My father was still making lunch, so watched some TV. Zapped through the channels and coincidentally one of them had Pokemon on. Was one of the Hoenn seasons and the first memory of watching it was May in some contest. So the Hoenn anime will always have a special place in my heart. The episodes in Sinnoh are great, too and Diamond was my first game. Might be nostalgia speaking but that has gotta be the best era. Ash actually was depicted as VERY competent, Brock always makes the episode better ofc, and Dawn was actually Ash's equal in a lot of ways while other female companions either looked up to him or treated him like a stupid child.
Tracey (I think that's who you meant by terry) replaced Brock during the Orange Island Arc (Season 2) because they thought the audience would see him (Brock) as some sort of stereotype, than to realized that, that wasn't the case and instead the Brought back Brock for the Johto Arc (Seasons 3-5) up to the Sinnoh Arc (Seasons 10-13) making him Ash's longest Travelling companion (With 12 Seasons, too many to count Episodes, 14 years) and that's a brief history of Brock and Tracey to answer your question.
Did I? I just followed all the videos sent to me which seem to be sent by region/gen. I know had to cut out one of the songs which I mentioned in the pinned tweet, but I thought that was from Johto. The one I couldn't include was "Born to be a Hero", iirc. EDIT: I just looked. That's the one I couldn't include. It's from Hoenn as you mentioned.
You missed my favourite one, the opening for pokemon advanced I think it's an early hoenn region one lol and there's also a special ash tribute opening which is the actual last one.
Honestly you should check out the japanese openings. They're all great and they're longer because theme songs haven't been shortened in Japan like they have in the US
So Tracey (not Terry) was only there for the Orange Islands League season (which is still part of Gen 1). He leaves and Brock joins back up with Ash and Misty and the three are together in Johto (as you can see in the Johto openings). Brock is with Ash from then on to the end of Gen 4 with the girl traveling companion switching from Misty at the end of Johto to May in Gen 3 and to Dawn in Gen 4. Then Brock and Dawn leave and Ash continues getting new companions every new region after.
There is no best or worst song every song has its own unique charm and tries to do its own thing they can coexist not everything needs to be a competition
You should check out the ash greninja them song in Japanese. They used it when greninja would fight, but for some reason, in english, they decided not to use it.

I mean, not once did the themes carry over to a new season except for the last 2 of Black and White technically speaking, that's a whole thing, but when you said 'same theme for 2 Johto seasons' that's incorrect. Same for Black and White S1 and 2. I believe they're the same singers but different song.

I’d suggest checking out the Japanese openings, they are longer and the visuals are more eye catching (if you do make sure to include the second horizons opening, it’s animation is so clean definitely worth a look) ^^

There are full versions of all the openings up to the XY generation, you can take a listen if you want. The full versions of the Black and White series openings are my favorite alongside the Advanced generation openings 🔥💕
Pokemon Brock was replaced by Tracey during the Orange Islands not Johto but Brock was much more popular than Tracey so he came back in Johto and stayed until Black and White replaced him with Cilan Cilan wasn't as good as Brock but Clemont in xy/z was a very interesting charecter
Brock is the best, after all. ;) Tracy was ok, but I remember thinking he wasn't Brock. XD
Tracey was created because the creators assumed Brock could be seen as a racist stereotype in the west, but when that didn't turn out to be the case, they hastily brought him back and shoved Tracey into the background.
Brock is a character who falls in love with any woman not younger than him. but he doesn't touch boobs or do any other pervert thingy. he knows his limits and he knows when to give up, for example in the darkrai movie

Honestly, my favourite series was diamond and pearl. Still has this OG vibe (first 4 gens had it), story is peak, animation is like early 2000s (which i love), the best ash's rival, Brock is still there. Dawn was great and she had many great episodes. Team rocket had some really cool episodes.
It has to many episodes though, in total it gives about 180-190 I belive. For one region

just gonna say before you have started reacting to the openings that i have memories of me watching the anime but im curious of which ones i will recognise. i was never the biggest fan of the games but i was a big fan of the show as a kid so this will be interesting. will update on which ones i recognise just because why not.
edit: i recognise some of the first ones. dang i didnt realise i watched the first ones but my memories are sorta coming back just thinking about it. well that was cool bringing some old memories back.

I have very little memory of me watching pokemon but I just remember watching with the team rockets cat and then them getting tha blue blob and a bit more after that but thats where I either stopped watching or my memories stopped. I watched a good amount of the movie though.
Yeah the Pokémon anime was great, and I know your probably used to Misty and Brock, but I think you’ll like a lot of the other traveling companions as well.

Every time I hear ultimate journeys intro I get chills EVERYTIME
I remember when I was in first grade, came back from school. My father was still making lunch, so watched some TV. Zapped through the channels and coincidentally one of them had Pokemon on. Was one of the Hoenn seasons and the first memory of watching it was May in some contest. So the Hoenn anime will always have a special place in my heart.
The episodes in Sinnoh are great, too and Diamond was my first game.
Might be nostalgia speaking but that has gotta be the best era. Ash actually was depicted as VERY competent, Brock always makes the episode better ofc, and Dawn was actually Ash's equal in a lot of ways while other female companions either looked up to him or treated him like a stupid child.

Tracey (I think that's who you meant by terry) replaced Brock during the Orange Island Arc (Season 2) because they thought the audience would see him (Brock) as some sort of stereotype, than to realized that, that wasn't the case and instead the Brought back Brock for the Johto Arc (Seasons 3-5) up to the Sinnoh Arc (Seasons 10-13) making him Ash's longest Travelling companion (With 12 Seasons, too many to count Episodes, 14 years) and that's a brief history of Brock and Tracey to answer your question.
I think you missed the 1st opening of the hoenn theme songs. It's called pokemon advanced and comes before advanced challenge
Did I? I just followed all the videos sent to me which seem to be sent by region/gen. I know had to cut out one of the songs which I mentioned in the pinned tweet, but I thought that was from Johto. The one I couldn't include was "Born to be a Hero", iirc.

So Tracey (not Terry) was only there for the Orange Islands League season (which is still part of Gen 1). He leaves and Brock joins back up with Ash and Misty and the three are together in Johto (as you can see in the Johto openings). Brock is with Ash from then on to the end of Gen 4 with the girl traveling companion switching from Misty at the end of Johto to May in Gen 3 and to Dawn in Gen 4. Then Brock and Dawn leave and Ash continues getting new companions every new region after.
We shall respect Ash's farewell!

You should check out the ash greninja them song in Japanese. They used it when greninja would fight, but for some reason, in english, they decided not to use it.

I mean, not once did the themes carry over to a new season except for the last 2 of Black and White technically speaking, that's a whole thing, but when you said 'same theme for 2 Johto seasons' that's incorrect. Same for Black and White S1 and 2. I believe they're the same singers but different song.
