As an industry veteran, my advice to any fresher joining the industry is : please aim to quit your salaries by 40 . At 40 you must be capable of starting something on your own & get regular income from it & grow with it. Otherwise, you will be in trouble.

Bowling Green, KY just got a commitment for a 300,000 sq ft processing plant like Amazon!! We are looking forward to the new jobs….all 30 of them. The facility will be automated aka robots took our jobs.

As a worker for any company, you are garrenteed payment for hours worked and that is it. Companies are not required to give you and amounts of there profits. this is life. Organizations like the SAG/AFTRA, or writers union, and even the UAW are in for a rude awakening if they think just because a company made profits last quarter before there employees strikes. These same people who strike asking for more money because the companies they work for made good profits are now realizing that they are losing there jobs and careers. The big 3 auto makers are planning on shifting as much work as possible to Mexico by the end of the UAW contract also the big three have layoff permanently over 500k in jobs since there strike ended. and the writers strike are seeing no work for the newer younger people but about 1/2 the usual work for the seasoned writers in Hollywood, As for the SAG/AFTRA strike the studios are not producing only 8 to 13 episodes of TV series per season (instead of the normal 22 episodes per season,
Also large productions movies have been scaled back to about a 1/3 of normal movies being made. Always remember this NO ONE wins in a strike
The best solution is just stop having chicken, as corporate world comes to know that there must be human beings to sell their products and services, then they will stop going for lay-offs
