Thank you Joe and many blessings and stay well. Blessings to all you love too. Interesting review for sure. I almost forgot to say that I watched tremors one and two they were fun.
hi joe, i remember the banana splits tv show. was not a huge fan of it, but did watch some episodes and thought it was ok. the movie doesn't sound to promising from your review, but who knows it could be fun for what it is, one of those films that is so bad its good lol, thanks for sharing, take care, rob
Taking "sacred,.... warm fuzzy childhood memories........and them them into disgusting......" Sounds like real life now. I grew up with the Banana Splits TV show .....loved anything with music. Not sure I want to see this one if it is not original beyond the concept. Love this series Joe
Joe, that sounds like a really stupid movie, but I enjoyed your review. It brought back some memories. I also watched The Banana Splits when I was little, and ALSO sent in for the record. It was two 45rpm EPs, so there were 8 songs altogether. I especially liked "Let Me Remember You Smiling." I just found the song on TH-cam, with a photo of the label, "Kellogg's Presents the Banana Splits," with a drawing of 2 bananas curved around the big record hole. On the show, they had sort of a movie serial about a jungle kid, like a Jr. Tarzan, who would help people in trouble. They would say, "Uh, oh! Here comes Chongo," or whatever his name was. I don't know if this was something made for the show, or if it was just a way to use a cancelled project. The whole thing about these animals being a rock band made it kind of a Monkees for little kids, and it was fun to watch when I was 6=7 years old.
Unlikable characters in an unlikable movie. Sounds about right. However there must have been a disgruntled villain who programmed the robots to go on their killing spree.

Hey Joe, The Bananna Splits are scary enough as they were... 😮

This movie was basically ground zero for the whole children's IP to slasher pipeline.
There is a great classic punk cover of the show’s theme song from the Dickies.

True, there was. But wasn't worth mentioning.
I will avoid this. I can’t wait to hear about one you like.
I hope that happens
