What a blessing to see how you start your day with devoción, I live on an Island as well. 5 am is my prayer time. Swimming no I cannot swim, but I enjoy going in the water to relax my body. Praying as you know you married a Dr & he married a lawyer, you both must bear one another up in prayer, keep trusting Father God to keep your hearts and minds in the right direction loving each other. Sometimes I know what it's like to give him space to rest well, but he seems like he doesn't want you to do that. Your wife has a caring heart and wants you to live a great life with peace and your husband as well the same for you. Love you both keep in God's 💕

I just found your channel. You guys sure give good content. I hope this inspires you. I too am from a Caribbean island. I learnt to swim in my early 20’s through attending a lifeguard instructor lessons twice weekly. A tip I was given. I was taught to Master the art of treading 💦 water to keep afloat in the deep in the swimming pool and then the sea. Hopefully this should help replace your fears in the water by giving you more of a command to develop your survival skills in the water. You can do this Zahra!
I agree with Xaundre about people living on an island and not knowing how to swim but I can also tell you that a lot of parents restricted their children from swimming or learning to swim, I have a lot of friends who don’t know how to swim. When I was a little girl we went to swimming lessons at the pool with Pathfinders I’m not a great swimmer but I am not afraid to get in the water. Zhara if you want to go out in the water don’t be afraid just put those a lifejacket on and go out there and enjoy your water activities. I believe you will be an avid swimmer quiet soon. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Well done 👍🏾 learning to swim. I'm back doing swimming lessons too. My fear is lacking confidence when my feet can't touch the floor and my front crawl breathing technique needs much work. I'm also using swimming as a way to strengthen my core and back muscles as I suffer with bulging lumber discs. The black girl fear of getting your hair wet, having to wash it more regularly and also potential damage that can be caused by chlorine has always also been my excuse but since April Ive said to myself not anymore. Self care is much needed. So on the journey with you too. Having swimming goggles will also really help.
I want to start swimming as exercise too! I find that swimmers have this lean physique that I like. Working on letting go of the hair fear too, I just need to schedule my hair wash days properly!
I always wanna do the extraordinary stuff like scuba diving and all these water activities, but I am so scared of the depth of the water lol. I am not afraid of heights though! Maybe one day I'll learn how to swim too 😊🥴 #inspirational

And when adding lower body movement, don't bend your knees. Your thighs, knees and feet are now one. (Below the ankle) your feet does the heavy lifting move it like a fin.
Zhara, I can’t swim either. In fact, I hate when water touches my chest and I hate having a wet head. I also hate sea water, which is so weird because I want to travel and snorkel. Water makes me so nervous, I wouldn’t manage kayaking either 😂 I think it’s a black girl thing actually. Even with cream hair, we don’t get our hair wet unless we are washing it.
