That catapult shot was beautiful
Oh, shoot I didn't realise this map was still in.
i have a question why factions like numenor, gondor, angmar, dwarves are rare sight on siege battles despite being exelent infantry wise?
because it's rare it's close i guess
Dwarves would've won. Mass is ALWAYS superior than stats, remember, ALWAYS
Real shame, could’ve been a really good battle. Were all of the defenders brand new players? It seemed that none of their decisions made any sense.
I don't understand why they stood all their infantry like that under ranged fire for so long. If you must do that they need to get into melee ASAP. Also I would've saved the ballista for anti-troll duty, and had it further back in the field.
@@Rellana1 Ballista is not that useful against trolls. If the attackers arent stupid, you probaby won't get even one clear shot before they are in melee amongst your own troops. And the attackers here were very competent.
Lindon let their army get absolutely cooked by range fire and it’s such a basic risk for Lindon that I was really surprised the defenders let that happen.
@@n.trstenjak2499 Not much the other defenders can do about lindon, he might be new or just not used to a siege map where you dont have walls to hide behind. Imladris was solid despite having it the hardest vs the all troll rush, except forfeiting with still 2-3 good units in the fight, and Loth definitely an experienced player, killed ~2 entire attacking armies by themself.
If all 3 defending players were new, it wouldnt be 7% difference, but 50%.
This kind of troll spam has become meta after the new patch. While I like that the trolls got buffed. This feels kind of cheap. Like unfair actually.
While I agree that there exists a worthwhile discussion surrounding whether or not trolls might be bit overturned in this patch, I don't think this particular instance really reflects that. High damage (ideally bodyguard-tier and/or AP) shock infantry is still pretty effective against trolls in isolation, the defenders just seemed very reticent to commit such units into the fray against the trolls in any fashion other than in piecemeal efforts.
I concur with Umad's assessment. Everything among the three elven defenders (save Lindon) seemed too far apart with little ability to reinforce one another and those that were close enough to provide support weren't, for whatever reason, engaged. The trolls that managed to get through the lines assembled against them had essentially free reign of the backlines without a lot of dedicated melee infantry to counter-attack them. While I understood Lothlorien's need to commit the bulk of its forces to guard the back entrances to the settlement, I don't really grasp its reasoning for that cliffside deployment so far away from its allies.
Quite a shame as soon as I saw axes being thrown at snaga I lost all hope I love the elves
genuinely curious: is there a solid counter to drake broodlings?
Pikes, halberds and sturdy spears mess them up last I checked.
A good jav volley will do the same, or any high missile damage unit for that matter
Attacker perspective? Uh oh
Post battle smh. I hope the next replay features the new guys on the attack making some questionable decisions
52:25, me also shame of the team player surrendering, I would never be part of a team where they surrender and leave other alone dealing massive orcs....
Hey Umad. Been quite a while since I've played or been in the community. Love the battles as always but I am a little disappointed with the Defenders. Lindon especially. As I've played on the map before, I know that Lindon's intentional chokepoint is the best place to defend from, difficult position to assault and hard to pressure with archers, also one of the best positions to setup Archer Crossfire into Imladris's defensive chokepoint. I was also a little disappointed with Lothlorien, they kept moving and adjusting their ballista and didn't get best value for cost sadly but did have some impressive shots so its not all bad. Anyways.. there were a few other things that could've been better but I'd be here a long time. Perhaps I should jump back in at some point and get in a match or two but for now, I'm content with watchin for just a bit longer. Hope ur well Umad, that'll be all from me for now.
not tryna bash too hard but the defenders are not reactive enough. great battle nonetheless
My god this was painfull to watch😂 you cant make a 3 vs 4 with all new players defending
If it was all new players, the difference wouldnt have been 7% but >50%.
