Thanks Jay! I use to go with my Dad to a tree farm to our Christmas tree. He would get them so afterwards he could plant the tree in the backyard. Lots of fun. Sorry the light show was closed.
This really got me emotional and reminded me so much of my childhood. My parents recorded EVERYTHING, and they still have the stacks of VHS tapes that we rewatch all the time. I am so thankful for them. Creating traditions and memories is what life’s about, and now you and Cris can create your own. Beautiful video ❤
I'm so happy to see this. To care about your families past and framing letters, etc...the whole thing. It's wonderful to see younger people actually care about their own families history. I'm a senior and i feel like family history is being forgotten. The traditions made by each family. It is important to keep their memories alive. Thank you for sharing all of this and christmas tree hunting. You picked a beautiful one... No pun intended but I just gotta' say it----- "It's a beaut' Clark" lol 😉🤣 Happy Christmas Oh, on Charles Dickens...I, too, am a huge Dickens fan. I was able to meet his Great-Great Grandson, Christopher Dickens back in the mid 90s in South Bend, Indiana. Charles was a marvelous writer, as is Edgar Allan Poe.

I recorded every moment for my three loves. The Best thing that ever happened to me!! Sweet memories. We are getting our tree next weekend. We always do a real tree. Wish us luck! One year I let my 14 get it with her dad and not me. It was a sad , sad tree. She was fired and now I will always now go too. Lol!
@TampaJay I don't know if you guys dig the fake trees, but last year we hit up the after Xmas clearance and got a handful of the 3-7 foot prelit trees at Walmart and they were 90% off.
You two Guy's, are the most genuine, lovely, people to vlogg on TH-cam, the emotions as you watched your VHS of Xmas past, flamingoooooooooooooooooo ss
Long ago I worked for a tree lot in Houston . Pope Tree Lot. Worst X-Mas experience. The owner was a real jerk. The trees came out of NC. Cool video guys. Happy holidays
Love your tree tradition! Love Dade City! ❤ We can’t make the stroll on the 9th- will you and Crista Girl go? will the street be decorated just as pretty on the next weekend?🎄 We’ll be watching to see everywhere you find nearby to see pretty lights and anything Christmas. Sorry your light show got cancelled. You’ll get there!🎄
Stupid question because I've never had a real tree. So you have to buy a new tree stand every yr the stands are not adjustable to fit different trees ??
Jay, you amaze me at times. You went to the Yearling restaurant. I was there many years ago with my folks. Then you went to the authors house where she lived and then you went to where she was killed, but you did not say anything about that. You went to the Ripleys Hotel in St. Augustine. Up on the third floor you went passed the room with the bath tub and the blind haired female was standing, but then you went to the next window and the blind haired girl was gone. Before Ripley bought the building it was a hotel and a small restaurant. The author of the Yearling was on penthouse floor which is the fourth floor. That floor is just for storage now. When it was a hotel there was a fire. Only two people died in it. The Yearling author and a girl named Emily. Emily put herself into the bathtub and covered herself with wet towels so she would not burn alive, instead she died from the smoke and your author died from smoke and was kinda burned up. Now if you see Emily inside Ripleys and you tell the staff what she was wearing before the fire, they will mark you down in the E book. A lot of people seem her standing in front of the third floor windows. And some people have seen her outside the main entrance where it was back in the day when it was a hotel. Myself I worked there after a bad hurricane and they needed armed security there because the alarms were turned off. I have seen Emily alot of times while working there. But I just wanted to tell you that about the Ripley building. Also, the the log cabin made from a tree trunk is haunted also. Sometimes at night you can see smoke coming out of the chimney. And a lot of people have heard music coming from inside the building at night, but the building is closed. St. Augustine is a completely different town at night. When I worked there I worked from 1800 to 0600. 12 hour shifts. I saw Emily the first time coming down the steps in the main room where you came in. Then I saw here coming out to the front where the wooden rocking chairs are at. Yes, I even heard the music once. But I'm not scared of the spirits. In fact I talk to them. Like you do when you leaves cemitary.
Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings died of a cerebral hemorrhage. Not in the fire you are referring to. The fire you are referring to happened Sometime after Marjorie and her Husband converted the building that was once their home into a Hotel. Which is now the Ripley,s Museum. Two women did die in a fire there when it was a Hotel but not Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.
Next time ya'll slide up here to GA stop at a Shane's Rib Shack...😋...I just watched the Night of Lights vid... didn't know there was a Mellow Mushroom in St. Augustine..also started here in GA. I have a brother who is a XMas eve baby too..😊
This video made me want to hug you both. The holidays bring up a lot of love and sometimes a lot of pain. I’m glad you two have each other and you’re making memories together ❤ Thanks for bringing us along. Enjoy that fresh Christmas tree smell. It’s one of my favorites 🎄
and you shouldnt need a stepladder to put the topper on and all my trees are fake but as much as i like pine scent i'd be sneezing through the entire month of december
@Tampajay just a piece of advice, if you haven't already. Preserve those videos! Go to any camera/video shop and they should be able to Preserve them to modern tech. My parents never took pictures or videos, so I have very little photographic memories of our family growing up. I would just absolutely hate to see you lose those. Love and peace to both of you (and Bella 🙂).
Thank you my friend. I appreciate that. I have actually began converting to MP4. I purchased a program wich I run thru my laptop and vcr. Precious stuff man. Thanks for watching appreciate you :)

Stupid question because I've never had a real tree. So you have to buy a new tree stand every yr the stands are not adjustable to fit different trees ??
Most tree stands are universal! These trees in this video however have a hole drilled in the bottom of them to fit that specific stand.
