Definitely Do the 205 up in to a pocket rocket nights event car with twin 40s 😊 night events It’s a cheapest way to get into rallying and a lot of fun 🤙🏻🤙🏻 the bumper is a genuine rallye as it’s got The metal strip 🤙🏻
@pauljones175 I think so too, as per rules I think I can only run a single carb on for night events, unless fitted as standard, but on the next episode we go through some of the rules.
Fast road car for the Pug, for occasional targa/hillclimbs. Keep the channel 'rally' mate, there's enough track racing channels out there. This stuff keeps me motivated to finish my budget E36 rally build and to get competing. Sending love from Australia -- Ben
Informative as usual , the 205 Rallye is a favourite so it's got to have the rally car treatment , even just the road rally set up will look brilliant . Would never have looked at a Micra until now , what's the power output of your car ? It certainly looks the part .
Every video I sob a little over the Micra I was offered last year for £300 quid. It had an MOT and was either mine or getting scrapped, but I didn't have the cash to hand. Offered to store it on my drive for free, but the lady wouldn't agree to that and had the council tow it for scrap. I just wanted it as a daily runner for when the Freelander was unwell.
Micra needs some red. Maybe the roof? Could the 205 be set up to be multi-purpose? Hillclimb, road rally, whatever takes your fancy any paeticular weekend. And what's with the Magnette? 🙂
@andrewrichardson2030 205 will be multi purpose and we'll definitely do more than one type of event in it,magnetic is a customer car in for some work, lovely thing
Road rally with the 205 and really enjoying the content would be good to see you doing some road rallying have you thought about getting a mk 2 escort and doing the lands end trial I live in Cornwall and I use to do the marshalling at blue hills that's the last stage of the trial
@@automaxwales I seem you on the l latebrake show doing the lands end trial though you to was good at it that's why I was asking if you would do it again
Very interesting costs, which rally are you doing please? It’s got to be a Road rally 205 but please keep the original paint where possible. Thanks for sharing
Hi mate, where’s the best place to buy a budget rally car from I’ve been looking on Google etc but not much around. Also where was the test facility at? You forgot about the cost of a van and trailer to get the car there 😅😭
@oli4330 I'll include the van and diesel etc into my rally event cost episode,as the car is a road legal micra,so you could just drive to the venue or event if you wanted,it's only if you have a break down that you'll have an issue. Keep your eye peeled for cars they do come up but you've goto be quick
An entry level hill climb. Hear me out, please. I've always wanted to enter my car into an entry level event of some description. One that a standard road car could enter and I believe some hill climb events do that. Reason I ask is I do not know how one goes about entering in a motor sport that any muppet in a grocery getter can enter with little to no budget. If such a thing exists, I may just be chatting bollocks.
Targa/Road rally would be good. Love the videos
@fabokavrs thank you , think I agree 😎
Woud defo like to see Targa!!!
This series has been wonderfully helpful. I'm looking to build my first rally car! Color me subscribed!
@@advantagehiphop thank you very much means alot

@kimmitchell7594 thank you Ben,enjoy the bmw great fun rally car 😀
Can you do a break down of must have tools in your car kit, for what typical repairs would be on a rally please
@rhysmadley good idea I will include that in another Ep

Goes realy well for a 1.3 tbh
That Peugeot is intriguing.

@@TonyBlews I love them, great cars not just to rally but for everything, the only major issue is the dreaded rot...
@@automaxwales I do like them. They are in my eyes more of a Mini that that new modern MINI (really a Maxi sized thing)
Autotest targa road rally.. touch on the events that are bare budget and on that note.. autotest 22nd September ;)
