These kind of videos are really awesome. The amount of knowledge Lappo has on this topic is amazing. You can understand why he was allowed to work at Ferrari. Also mis George videos like this, because that was also awesome.
The battery charge is integral to how this car moves at low speed, so it's recommended not to start moving until the engine has started to charge up the battery (which you hear as there's an audible flywheel clatter when it does) and you should leave the car running until battery charge is above 80% before turning the car off. Even going forward, the clutch doesn't engage until the car is going 15km/h, so under 15km/h it's electrically driven. I've only driven the Valkyrie at city speeds so i never found the redline.
To me what's amazing about this car is how they managed to make a car, that is beautiful, efficient, performant, well packaged. Everything flows, nothing look weird or shouldn't be there, except those rearview camera lol. This car has been made by people who thought of everything to bring it to perfection.
i kow aerodynamics since decades - flying gliders wich are much more aerodynamic than every car - but this go around was a god oportunity to have a closer look - and i have to say - probabely one of the best winshape optimized cars i have ever seen 👍

Fresh new video! AM Valkyrie has one of the most insane aero for a "roadcar" IMO! I believe Valkyrie has active aero hidden in the venturi tunnel to bleed off downforce at high speed. I hope you guys get to see Praga Bohema in future, that has interesting aero too.
It would be awesome to hear on this channel an analysis from Lapo on why he believes the Red Bull F1 car is so much faster than the rest of the field. I am sure it would involve discussion of aero in the context of current events which many people are interested in. Maybe you have already done so. My apologies if yes.

That is a Looot of engineering into a car .Zircotec does real ceramic coating on carbon fiber and lots of other heat coatings too on most f1 cars.Do you guys work with them?

The engine doesn’t seize that’s amazing, and hiding the aero is clever. The aero is not that amazing though, you can create air curtains or vortex’s easily the materials though are amazing The big thing is the tunnels they are nuts.

So how much downforce does it produce? I have read about 750kg at 220km/h and some sources say well over 1000kg at even lower speeds.
