lol the craziest thing was that she took a korean song and converted it into english and made it her own. she killed it in english. AND surprised the aunties when she sang this in korean putting them into tears :) like seriously , you didn't even need to understand what she was saying! regardless of language she was transcending her voice
Kudos to Jinho Bae a korean youtuber, living here in ph and a friend of mori, he helped with the translation which mori wasn't forced to but intended the arrangement and composition to be like that.
This entire performance is packed with emotions, it's just oozing out of her. And she sang the last chorus and verse in Korean which made it even more special, esp to the Korean audience

I still believe Morisette posseses one of the best voices, and one of the greatest music storytellers in the Philippines right now, if not, in the world. At the same time, I have mad respect for her keeping her feet on the ground and chose to stay and make her music in her home country, yet she is still known by many in the world, especially known singers, music producers, music labels, even Pop Idols, and every fan in almost every part of the world.
btw, this song is a korean song, which Morisette and her Korean friend translated to English. The song itself is a very well-known ballad in South Korea, which is why the korean audience recognized it and you'd see the reaction how they appreciate her singing it.

Resignation is a most revered old skul Korean love song originally by South Korean legend Lee Young Yun. Morissette had a Korean friend translate the lyrics so she could sing it in English and then she did a verse there on the end in Korean. Up to this point of the Asia Song Festival, she was the only one invited to perform twice in a row, her first being the year prior 2017....that performance is also here on TH-cam.
