Maybe a month ago I built the sr-71 too so very cool seeing this. Perhaps I will get some ideas from this video and build a 2.0 with extras. Thanks for this video
I think it's going to turn out pretty sweet. Also, is it possible for you to make a tutorial on glitches such as the wheel glitch? I've been looking everywhere but there doesn't really seem to be one.
yeah i realized that i must have started to look at other blueprints. figured this out while i was editing. will definatly get the shape changed for on the nose and the wing sections.
SR-71 had to be refueled shortly after takeoff before beginning their mission, sometimes refueling multiple times in flight. Is that possible in Stormworks? Or worth it? Looks great so far keep up the good work.
my favourite part about building jets in storm works are the jet engines i just loves seeing how fast/ efficient I can get them sometimes i just build jet engines for the fun of it I also love building modular engines and testing my skill lmao what speed are you planning on making the top speed of the sr71? fastest I have been able to achieve with any jet is mach 1.2
It is a shame the pistons are so large, it would be insanely cool if you could program the engine cones to extend and retract with speed! Edit: I also just thought of a funny idea! You should make some fuel leak while it is on the ground like the actual plane. After the insane temperatures, the panels warped and changed shape, which wouldn’t “normally” (no planes really reach those temps anyways) cause leaking, but they removed the walls of the fuel tanks to save weight. The fuel just sat in the skin of the wings so it basically dumped fuel after cooling. Also because of the lack of walls and the heat, the fuel had to be really stable, so the actual plane had to be started with an explosive, almost similar to the shotgun engines on old equipment
The SR-71 Blackbird does not use a turbo-fan engine, it uses a hybrid turbojet-ramjet engine, which stormworks may not be able to replicate. th-cam.com/video/3hYSnyVLmGE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tartaAmVkH_EbS_q&t=185
im actually super hyped for this series just to see how you get some shapes cause I really struggle with those finer and rounder edges
Can’t wait for next part
Should paint the face of the blocks around the jet output red or orange to simulate heat 😊
this is very cool and would very much like too see this thing fly

Please do!
And would love to see u build more
For the elevators, you should use pivots to make custom control surfaces.
the shape came out really good
im hyped to see the final result

Also you should use pivots on the vertical stabilizers to make them on an angle, like they are irl.
Amazing video ❤
I love that idea
Awesome!
It looks like a blackbird but you're making a YF-12 with that front piece that cuts off

Alrighty

There is a refueling plane. Might have to attempt at least once.
Hi profnCognito I just subscribed this plane is one of my favorites

As fast as I can!
you going to make it cruise at mach 3.2
idk if that is possible in stormworks
Let's try!
Bro is underrated 😢
this is gonna be sick!
I hope so.

Gonna have to look this up
Fabulous!
cool
nice
Thanks
Nice
Love it
Can you build the concorde too
Sure!

yeah im gonna do the best i can with what i got.
@@ProfNCognito which is pretty good, im just a nerd and wanted to share how much cooler the engines are than "just" a massive turbojet engine
Can someone help me. I have a glitch which make my game freeze when I get closer to my base in career mode. Please help
That's a new bug. Uh oh!
@@ProfNCognito oh no
@@ProfNCognito do you have any contact with the developer?
@@Skugganloke zero contact.
держи лукос ;)
the engen cons mov aot at mac 1.00 .
But man this thing is lookin good A bit stubby but im sure youll figure it out
Yo what happened to your mic man
