At 0:34, When I was a little kid back in the 80's, every time I watched Pat enter. I always wondered if he was going to make it to the wheel before the curtains lowered. I've seen a couple episodes where Chuck Woolery had duck while entering to avoid the curtains. You know when those curtains come down, they make the set look like it's gone back in time, if you know what I'm talking about. Those curtains used to be used to conceal the prizes during the game. But around the time Pat took over as host, they were just basically used for the hostess to make her entrance through. They were only seen for like 30 seconds at the start of the show and then were not seen again for the rest of the show. Seems like kind of waste, doesn't it? Well, in the 1987-88 season, they got rid of them as they weren't serving much of a purpose. Besides by then, curtains seemed a bit too old fashioned for gameshow sets.
0:27 - interesting. They had been using those large numbers since 1975, and I don't remember "clear" being a color option! lol It was supposed to be blue if you look at the beginning of the animation.......and 12:40, they were ahead of their time in 1987, which is probably why they are still around today!
I never seen this picture back in the days

The curtains always reminded me of Guy Smiley on *"Sesame Street"* lol
