I’m fascinated by your decision to put sentence order and particles at the beginning of the learning process. I think it’s a great idea and I’m curious to see how this works out.
When I first watched Korean dramas, it was the -니까, 는데, and 고요 conjugations I noticed the most.... and actually most stuff is in 반말, not 존댓말. Obviously, we learn some polite/formal stuff like stuff like 안녕하세요, 감사합니다 but we also learn just 미안해, 고마워, 죽을래!?

@@annabelle466 I'll give it a shot but I’m not very good at explaining (and I might be wrong!) 😝
If we see an object marking particle (을/를) after a noun, that means the following verb is about that noun, and not about other nouns in the sentence. Basically *this* action is about *this* thing. Hopefully that makes sense (and is correct).
I still need an ‘a-ha’ moment about topic vs subject though! I’m sure it’s somewhere in TTMIK :)

I wished I found this first. I struggled with korean grammar and this makes everything so simple...

I’ve never been more thankful for the most basic grammar videos like this one. I haven’t reviewed anything regarding Korean for months, but this actually made more sense than before. Only thing I still struggle with is adverb placement bc I have read that adverbs can be put in different spots aside from right before the verb itself. Definitely need to review the basics more often thought

This video is PERFECT for explaining the basic sentence structure. Simple & easy to understand by explaining what everything represents and even translating it literally in English so we can see where the differences are. Thank you so much!

This was a great video and you explained the sentence structure so much better than anyone else I have found. I really like the letters to show it. Please more of this.
Also your English is so good I would have never thought you haven't lived in a English speaking country.

Glad to have found this channel. I was listening to your podcasts on Spotify then found that all the records were later removed/restructured and was actually kind of of sad cuz I was lost as to what lesson i was on. and i really liked the way you were teaching the beginners in them. Now that I found this channel maybe I can continue with learning from you all!! Love this!!

As a new learner myself I am either in the books or listening to TTMIK podcasts up to 8 hours a day right now. Fortunately I can work and listen at the same time (thanks to AirPods!!) and even though I’ve only been learning Korean for a month the basic building blocks are falling into place. I need to spend more time actually writing words out in 한글 along with speaking out loud (I mainly do that on the commute to and from my 사무실 ) but I’m really feeling good about my progress.

I really appreciate the way your videos are made recently. I have been following TTMIK since 2009. Though I really started a truly systematic study a couple of years ago TTMIK is all I ever had. I really "get it" now with the way you make your videos and the catchy songs that go along with the breakdown of Korean sentence structure. I am thoroughly benefitting from the way TTMIK teaches these days. Keep up the good work because it certainly is working.
