3:33 - WSVN in Miami news open from 1983. “NewsCenter 7 Tonight with Steve Rondinaro, Sally Fitz, Mark Wolin in Broward, Andy Loscano with sports, and Bob Soper with the weather.”
This is incredible. Sound quality is spectacular. Been wanting to hear so many of these packages you’ve uploaded for a long time. Home from work, sick in bed, these cuts are taking me back to the 80s and a wide eyed young TV fan. I wish I got into TV instead of radio.
HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS? This was the music package for our local station in the 80s (until 1992). I did searches on Saturday night for clean versions! You are a magician, I swear. THANK YOU!
I read your mind! I was looking through my files and came across this - debated whether or not it would be of interest to anyone and decided to give it a shot!
@@VPR2BPlease, if you have what's known as the "WNDU 1986 theme" by Tuesday ... I've been looking for that for YEARS. (I know that it was in use at WKRC in Cincinnati as early as late 1984.)
I actually think the KDKA package was entirely different and hope it's found. Very similar signature melody notes, but I think the 'KD and you' jingle was the basis for KDKA.

Hope you're feeling better soon!
Channel keeps getting better. I love these package demos
No way! I have been looking for the News Image package for a long time especially in this quality! You have been uploading real gems recently!
Glad you like it. Sounds great with big speakers or headphones!
I kind of wish the entire package could be found with all of it's individual tracks in THIS sound quality. o.o

I like how they mention jamming in an orchestra and then they start playing music which is obviously synthesized. Pretty nice anyway.
I believe they used an orchestra AND synthesizers together. That's how they achieved some really nice sounds.
Wow! I loved this and the 1978 Tuesday Productions reel. If you have anymore to share, please share more rarities for all to see and hear.
I DO have a few more Tuesday reels - wasn’t sure if there was any interest in these, but now that I see there is, I’ll add them to the “to-do” pile!
@@VPR2B Including the demos of other news packages besides the News Image? Love to hear some cuts I haven't heard on NMSA

@@robertratliff2223 I'd love to accommodate but I've exhausted all the Tuesday reels that I have in my possession.
@@billrood7500 That's OK, thanks for posting this! Never would've guessed that Dick Orkin's Radio Ranch was involved in promoting the package!
I was always a sucker for the variant of this theme that USA Network used for their sports coverage in the early 80s.
5:44 - Paul Frees: Now, from the news center for Northern California... _LIVE ON 4._
I'd say it's a rare find, nice.
I wonder who voiced Dolly?
Ahem! And don't forget about KDKA in Pittsburgh!

Do I detect the voices of Jane Roberts and Dick Orkin?
Definitely the acting work of the Dick Orkin Radio Ranch.
According to News Music Search Archive, the first two clients are KGTV San Diego and KSTP Minneapolis/St. Paul, who just happen to be ABC affiliates.
The problem is that the NMSA is flat-out wrong. KRON commissioned this package.
