Collei is my cinnamon roll #2 and is an absolutely adorable sweetheart of a person and deserves the world
The knot on collei's back resembles amber's ribbon. Her special dish is called "yearning" And there's a text about it "looked like a radiant girl in red", and when collei failed to become a doctor/the doctor's entrance examination, the first thing that she dreaded is getting her best friend dissapointed. Amber really means the world to her

I'm actually the other way around. I read the manga and wasn't too hyped about her. Then she showed up in the game and I thought, "Yeah, she's clearly a 3/3 crowns character." She's clearly the best character out of the new Sumeru ones.

I like that she fires boomerangs from her bow. At first i thought they were arrows that misfired but now knowing she used to use a slingshot, she probably figured out a way to get it to work.

I remember reading the manwha, it was great. Even if i couldnt finish it (i read everything that was uploaded at the time, if i remember correctly, right after they did the whole ritual to seal her darkness)
I dont play this game anymore, nor really put much interest on its lore at the time. But this? Collei was, for me, one of those characters that get you acting like "someone give her a hug, a blanket, and some ice cream. And provide myself with a shotgun. Im going for a walk. a V E R Y enthusiastic walk, all over whoever tries to Hurt her".
So seeing her a bit grown up, happy and basically mimicking Amber. Fuck the hell yes

My favorite thing about this is that without the lore we probably wouldn't have liked Collei for being a "dendro copy of the original". This way people learn to appreciate her more and her story is very unique too

I really liked Amber as soon as I first got her, and after a few days of getting lost I sweated myself that any team would include a bow user, one way or another.
When I then read the Genshin manga, it was clear: Collei needs to be the bow user for the second team.
So now, while Amber is the bow user in team 1, a team built around comfortable play style and speed, team 2 is entirely built for Dendro reactions, aka making Collei let others shine in the best way possible.
And as both are like THE elemental reaction experts in my team, Collei, having arrived later than Amber on my account, inherents all old bows. Got a new bow that might be good on Amber? Sweet, Collei gets the old one that boosts her elemental mastery.
And sometimes I just put them together on a team and let them fight some enemies.
I have to wonder how different Collei would be if she hadn't met Amber first. What if someone else found her at the Barbatos statue?
While Jean, Lisa, and most people of Mond (save guards doing their duties and Kaeya) were friendly enough, Amber was the only one who wanted to help Collei, in more ways than one
