    Getting the Nikon.

    I agree. In terms of photography and stills, I think we’ve hit Peak Features. I don’t see what additional features we need for photography. With the newest cameras auto focus is already pretty good. Dynamic range is already fine and so on…

    Nikon acquiring RED is also a crazy move up for Nikon to get a lot more serious in the video world now too. These cameras are INSANELY capable, especially for the price.

    I think the change is here already but video csnnot replace stills. And eventually this big corps will find way to advance cameras for photographs..... Its all matter of time .....
    Send one of your used cameras love from Ghana 😂

    I agree. I'm primarily interested in photography and have very little interest in video, but appreciate having the capability to shoot some when I need to. I have the original R5 and was excited to hear about the R5mkII, but upon reviewing some of the leaked specs, it became clear that this new model was going to be more of a merge of the R5 and the R5C with very little "advancement" being made on the photography side of things. 30-fps vs my current 20-fps electronic shutter is an improvement on paper, but it sounds more like having to cull even more images than I currently do -- I'm fine with the amount I have to cull, thank you. An extra stop of DR sounds nice, but I always shoot RAW and with so many software tools, do I really need it? Right now my plans have changed. I originally was going to invest in the R5mkII and make my R5 my backup, but I think I'm just going to watch the prices on R5's continue to fall and pick up another one in the near future as I LOVE having 45MP... I look forward to hearing real-world user reviews of the R5mkII... but I doubt much is going to sway me. We'll see. Great overview!

      Thank you. I have the same mindset as you. I'll only upgrade I get a really good deal if not i will just stick with my R5 and invest in RF lenses.

      @@PrinceMeyson One thing I'm hoping for is the announcement of a high-resolution (60+ MP) R5, let's call it the R5sr -- similar to what they did with the 5D mkIII back in the day. At that time, they bumped the resolution to 50MP and it was a great camera, I loved it. This go-round I'd like to see something in the 60-70MP range... it's sure to be a long way off, but i'd definitely be interested in something like that.

    For stills photography there is still some room for improvement in flash sync speeds and UI/ in-camera software

    Nikon z6iii; 6k at 60fps 12 bit raw internal with no crop in a 2500 dollar camera body it is crazy.... How is Nikon making a profit on this? It's truly incredible😮. I remenber a few years ago when sony anounced the a7iv, people were crazy about it because it has a flip out screen and 10 bit color and that thing can't even shoot full frame 4k 60p, and has horrible Rolling shuter. I totally agree with you when you said the z6 iii camera will be generation defining; it is an atomic bomb nikon just dropped. They were already doing incredible thing with the z8 and z9, but honestly, those cameras are out of reach for most people, and nikon knows it, so they decide to completely atomized the 2000 dollars ish segment which most prosumers use. The good thing is that it forces other camera brands to seriously compete and make better tools.
    A quick note on the r5 mark ii... I seriously hope that it will live up to the hype, especially with the z8 as its competition.

      Nikon is not using a new processor. Only the sensor is new in the camera.

    • @PrinceMeyson

      I don’t think everything in the cameras has to be new. I love the fact that they are pushing to get the most out of what they have. It’s competition and competition is great for us.

    its the same tech since 2004....People please save your money - Megapixels can be manipulated in photoshop with one click. I run a very successful photography business and trust me - you cant tell the difference between a 2001 pro camera digital images vs a 2024 camera digital images.....Save your money peeps!!!

      I just can't agree. The eye-tracking, AF, and framerates on the mirrorless cameras are mindblowing compared to even the latest generation DSLRs. Landscape, product, and model photography notwithstanding, shooting any action, wildlife, or candid/event shots is SO much better now -- it's not even close.

    • @PrinceMeyson
      @PrinceMeyson  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think that person was talking about the quality and in that case you might not be able to tell the difference when looking at it through our phone screen but if you had to shoot with both side by side then you'll realize that it is way easier shooting with the newer cameras

      @@PrinceMeyson I paid $25 for a camera that produces the same result as my camera that I bought for $2000...many tests on various devices of all sizes etc and the results are the same in general... My customers pay large sums and never complain regardless on what camera I use....

    • @montegobayphotographer
      @montegobayphotographer 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ryanberg3705 I was talking photography only....I make large sums to photograph many customers and I am talking by personal experience....You can't tell by looking on the image which camera when files are rendered regardless...I pay as low as $25 for a camera body and a few thousands for others and yes there may be subtle differences in shadows and highlights....That doesn't impact the overall photos captured. I do this for a living!!!
