    Yup, that's pretty much it. Thank you for your expertise Dr. Taylor. I started HRT right away and feel it's the best choice for me right now. It amazes me how people that have done NO research what so ever and have so many "opinions" about taking HRT. I say, do your research! And you won't find anything more factual than this series. You're the best 🌸

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well, I give you facts. NO hype, no scare tactics. And I'm not trying to sell you a product. It's so sad that people are so unused to honest information these days. In fact, it's so rare that people don't believe honesty it when they hear it.
      And people have the order of events backward, too. Instead of getting a full eduction first and developing an opinion second, they do it the other way around. Bizarre!

    Dr. Taylor - Found you through Dominique Sache. Love your videos. Notice to everyone who is just starting this journey. You may find your levels of HRT are great for years. Then one day your hormones will be all jacked up for no reason and you'll find ourself searching for the perfect balance again. But don't despair. It's fixable, and you'll soon be on your way, sleeping the night through with no night sweats or hot flashes. (But carbs will never be your friend again.) :-)

    Dear Dr Taylor. Watched your videos in order as instructed. Interestingly, I recognise my mother in law in a lot of symptoms. Irritability and strong will, ill temper. Forgetfulness, need to go to the bathroom. Being very independent and confident. Osteoporosis. On the contrary, father in law, military man previously, became sad , very mellow and depressed. Only now I understand all the reasons why it happened. Thank you so much. I hope with your education to avoid most of the negative consequences of menopause.

    Thank you for this education Dr. Barbie. you are the only person giving women this education but also doctors. They know NOTHING! I don't understand why the fear and panic from doctors around estrogen when all they would have to do is read some up to date articles and studies. I never had any cravings for alcohol. The empty nest should be a time of celebration. If someone knows their identity and doesn't try to control their children they should feel relived at the empty nest. I adopted a son whose parents died of aids and were friends of mine. So relived that I don't have to raise him any more and can do my own thing. Thank you again!

    Menopause Taylor, Your realism about Menopause disturbs me, but I cannot stop looking at your videos. I find your lists of declines unsettling as a post menopausal women. Not all women share all of these experiences collectively. I never craved not continually drink alcohol nor was my sleep affected. I get hot and sweaty easily; however, and the bladder issues occurred after the birth of my first child. I have ALWAYS moisturized my skin religiously and I have not stopped long enough to realize the dryness factor of the skin. I am not on hormone therapy and my gynecologist never suggested it. You give me pause, however, to reassess my healthcare because of your check lists and it is unsettling...but it is also encouraging me to seek proactive solutions. I am making appointments to make sure that all is managed.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The whole idea, Camita, is to know the whole story BEFORE it's too late to do anything about the things you wish to avoid. As you can see in my videos, I present all the options in all categories for managing your menopause: Diet, Exercise, Lifestyle, Vitamins, Minerals, Botanicals, Herbs, Acupuncture, Hypnosis, Hormonal Medication, and Non-Hormonal Medications.
      But, before you can even begin HOW you want to manage it, you have to understand what in the heck is causing the things you experience. Every woman is different. And the symptoms you have now in the short term are no indication of what will occur in the long term. So, my goal is to be sure you know everything and then help you manage your menopause any way you wish.
      I don't mean to upset you. I mean to empower you.

    I don't know whether to be elated that you have encapsulated all things that have been happening to me or sad. You know, you may be the smartest woman around. I wish you were teaching doctors what to say and do. How to understand. I am about to turn 66, I don't have any huge medical problems, so I have not gone to a doctor for many years. Decided to go last week. My young female, very congenial doctor doesn't seem to be aware of any of this. I would never take Premarin again, but she informed me that I was too old for a pap smear and there was no medication to help me at this age. I would not take any of the meds anyway, but there was no shoring up in any capacity! I will be viewing all of your 147 videos, and thank God for you, truly! .

I started on HRT in my 50’s and a few years later cream for the vigina (now there is a pill to insert which is so much clearer & easier). I also do exercises to help with bladder leakage and hopefully staying inside my body. When it comes to bone loss I take Synthorid so I am at risk but I get my bones checked too. Oh dear, WHAM should be a wake up call to all women! Am I correct in assuming that shrinkage of brain tissue, vaginal anatomy changes, and bone density loss is irreversible? Do we ever get some of our former hair density back or am I forever doomed to barely having hair. I seemed have lost hair behind the ears and even in the nape of my head besides the all over thinning. I passed the two year post-menopause mark four months ago. Hope to see a little less dramatic changes as you have discussed. (A small silver lining, so to speak).
    Does sleep ever improve? I have been on 1 mg Estradiol for the past 1.5 years without any improvement. I don't take progesterone since I don't have an uterus.
    It's amazing how you still have a head full of hair and have continued to stay so vibrant, slim, flexible, beautiful, intelligent, and generous. Can't wait to see what gets better at MP.

    Dr. Taylor, do you have an opinion on the Mona Lisa Laser treatment for vaginal rejuvenation?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Mona Lisa Touch is the newest options for trading the vaginal symptoms of menopause. It works in very much the same way that lasers work to reduce the signs of aging on your face. It requires three treatments that are slightly painful, but it does rejuvenate the vagina some, at least in the short term. It has not been around long enough to know the long-term effects.
      Your vagina is the most selfish part of your body when it comes to estrogen. Even when you take enough to alleviate all your other symptoms and all the diseases associated with menopause, your vagina may still be dissatisfied. So, even if you get the laser, you might still need estrogen cream in your vagina. Estrogen cream in your vagina has stood the test of time and is definitely effective.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use anything you want, but all lubricants are not the same. And a lubricant is not the same thing as a moisturizer. And neither lubricants nor moisturizers can do anything at all to prevent your vagina from shrinking.
      You posed the question as if it has a simple answer. It doesn't.
      If you want all the details on this, or you want to find the best thing FOR YOU, schedule a one-on-one consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adrienne,
      This is an entire education on menopause. There is no way I can cover everything in any single video. I assure you that I WILL cover absolutely everything, but I will do so in units. And it will take a long time to get to the unit on vaginal symptoms. As with each unit, I will give you every option in every category. But again, with one video per week, that will take a long time.
      If you’d like a more efficient delivery of this menopause education, you should (1) Get my book, or (2) Watch the webinars, or (3) Watch the DVD entitled Your Menopause Your Way. They all give you the complete education without the fluff of the videos. You can get any of these from my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME. And if you want the fastest track, schedule a consultation with me, and you'll get the education along with tailoring of it specifically to YOU.
      These videos cover only one piece of information in each video. That’s intentional. If you only use these videos to get your education, it will be very complete, but it will take a looooooong time. My goal is to meet the needs of all women, regardless of their learning style, and regardless of their command of the English language. Many of my viewers speak English as a second, third, or fourth language.
      If you want me to help you with all your options for vaginal symptoms now, please schedule a consultation. I'll provide that and a whole lot more.

    I'm just at the beginning of menapause, so im not post yet, but all these videos have me scared to death to get any older or reaching post menapause. I am one of the wierd ones who actually pray that each period won't be my last. I am on hormone supplements right now, will that at least help slow down some of the symptoms? HELP!

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your hormones will mask some of your symptoms, and that's fine. And, if the dosages are adequate, they will also prevent the diseases associated with loss of estrogen (heart attack, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's).
      But, please don't be afraid. The purpose of this education is to empower you to manage your menopause successfully ... your way, knowing all the facts. Fear does not empower you. It paralyzes you. So, get this entire education by watching my videos in order, starting with the very first one, or getting my book, or getting the entire 2-day seminar on DVD or as webinars. But don't let fear paralyze you.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, to depends on so many things that are specific to YOU. When we get to the videos on dry skin, I'll be giving you each and every option in every single category for preventing or alleviating dry skin. But that won't be for a very long time I cover material in units. And all the units for all the diseases will precede the units on each symptom.
      So, if you want to address all the ways in which YOU can improve your skin sooner than I will in the videos, you really should schedule a consultation with me. We're talking about a matter of years before I get to the dry skin unit. So it will be a long wait.
      If you want a consultation, go to MenopauseTaylor.ME to schedule one.
      My goal is to tailor all the information and details to YOU. I can't do that in a video or a comment box. But I can, and do, precisely that in a consultation.
      And it's not too late, but the sooner you start reversing your dry skin, the better. And, at menopause, most women go about it in all the wrong ways. I'll teach you what really works.

    Thanks again Dr. Barbie for an informative video. Does taking estrodial & progesterone hormone replacement ameliorate these "happenings" that you've described in the WHAM collection of videos? If so, how do we know if we're getting enough? Would a testosterone replacement solve some of the problems as well? • @MenopauseTaylor

      Unfortunately, my video series doesn't work that way. If you jump around out of order, you're going to be more confused than ever. It's like shooting yourself in the foot (or the head).
      You really have to watch the videos in order, beginning with the very first one. Your questions seem simple. The answers are not.
      I have covered all of this, in great detail. It's what you deserve. And, I can tell by your question that you NEED to watch my videos in order, because your level of understanding is minimal.
      Alternatively, if you want to shortcut watching all the videos, you can:
      (1) Buy my book, which gives you the full education
      (2) Buy the entire 2-day seminar on DVD
      (3) Buy the entire 2-day seminar as webinars, chapter-by-chapter
      (4) Schedule a consultation with me to get the big picture AND have everything tailored to YOU specifically
      You can do all these things at MenopauseTaylor.ME.
      Please, please don't short-change yourself. If you can't take the time to watch the videos in order, do one of these other things to get what you deserve.
